Francia, Trenk and Brennan
Jerry Foster’s book signing

Mayor Vincent Francia thinks his job is to mentor people who want his job. His thinking must be if he does favors for his competitors they will patiently wait for his retirement and then step into his position. The pending recalls include him but he thinks his statements here and there that he will retire in 3 years protect his last term.

Francia’s abandonment of Cave Creek is no surprise

Many citizens of Cave Creek have begun speaking publicly about the abandonment of Cave Creek by Mayor Vincent Francia. These concerns have been expressed privately for years. They surface now because the mayor’s “lead by following“ modus operandi doesn’t work when the majority of the town council – Spitzer, Durkin, Monachino, and Vice Mayor Trenk – are working full time for themselves rather than in the best interests of the citizens of Cave Creek.

Leftover turkeys

Thanksgiving has come and gone, but the turkeys on the Scottsdale city council are still gobbling away. Council turkeys Klapp, Korte, Millhaven and Robbins are blaming councilmen Littlefield and Phillips for confusing the voters in Scottsdale’s failed bond election. If you were wondering how the anti-tax folks were able to get their message out more effectively, with practically no money, turns out it wasn’t hard at all.

Obama expands war on political speech

There is one mystery that has perplexed political observers after Senate Democrats decided to violate Senate rules allowing the minority party to block presidential appointments. And that was why it was so important to do so to help Patricia Ann Millett to get confirmed to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.
