Head Coach Tony Vos: “We’re out to continue our tradition of winning Region Championships – and then going far in State.” His soccer Falcons got off on the right foot with a 5-1 decisive win at Shadow Mountain, Tuesday evening, Nov. 30. Falcons are on the road again, Thursday, Dec. 2 at Moon Valley, before hosting Sunnyslope next Tuesday, Dec. 7. Both games start at 6 p.m.  Their home opener against the Vikings will be soccer’s only match at Falcon Stadium until Tuesday, Jan 4, against J.L. Combs.

Girls Varsity Basketball:
The Hoop Gals, tri-captained this season by seniors Kelsey Easterbrook, Kara Curley and junior Ashley Nuong, traveled to Peoria on Tuesday evening, Nov. 30, for their first 2010 regular season game. The Lady Birds led 29-28 at the end of three periods but rebounding strength powered the Lady Panthers to a 42-37 win. Curley (12) and Easterbrook (11) were CSHS leading scorers. A positive Head Coach Ryan Pletnick to Sonoran News: “Our team has some growing to do. It may take a little while, but the girls will get there.” Catch the Lady Falcons in their home opener against longtime rival Shadow Mountain on Friday, Dec. 3, 7 p.m. tipoff.
