Michael Cressaty

Michael Cressaty, 86, passed away Dec. 9, 2008, succumbing to a long illness, bravely borne.

A French national by birth and a U.S. citizen by choice, Michael served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theatre. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion, a membership that endured over sixty years.

Returning to the U.S. after the war, he spent many years in New Jersey before relocating to Carefree and then Cave Creek, several decades ago. Michael was preceded in death by his wife and close family, leaving close and long-standing friends to mourn his passing.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Messinger Indian School Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
