Cousin Camp: A Guide to Intentional Grandparenting SCOTTSDALE – Cousin Camp: A Guide to Intentional Grandparenting by grandparent Ramona Roberson aims to instruct readers on how to host a memorable event for the whole family and interact on a deeper level with the special children in their lives.
Named for an annual Roberson family gathering, Cousin Camp shares the story behind the tradition and seeks to empower readers to create family traditions of their own. Roberson argues that parents and grandparents can use simple techniques to spend more quality time with the children in their lives and have a favorable impact on the next generation of their families.
"You can transform the time you have with your grandkids into time that both you and your children or grandkids treasure," Roberson says. "I'll show you how to do that, no matter your circumstances. Within this book are the tools to enable you to take control of the impression you make on your children, grandchildren or the other significant children in your life."
Inspired by the author's personal experience, the book shares techniques that Roberson found helpful and cites examples of what she believes is unhelpful or negative. Roberson contends that the application of her approach can help any parent or grandparent find fulfilling experiences to share with children.
