Applications are now available for three seats on the Airport Advisory Commission

The Airport Advisory Commission advises the City Council on policy matters relating to the operation of the airport, proposals for development, airport area land use, fees and safety concerns. Three seats will need to be filled on the commission as these commissioners are reaching their term limit.

Applications are being accepted from Scottsdale residents until 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12. The City Council will consider nominations on Monday, Aug. 29. Interviews and appointments are tentatively scheduled for Sept. 13.

Following the interviews, the council will appoint residents to three-year terms. All board and commission members must comply with the city’s Ethics Code.

Residents interested in serving on boards and commissions can submit an application at www.ScottsdaleAZ.gov, search “board vacancies.” The application form can also be emailed to residents who call 480-312-7977, or may be picked up in the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd.
