Do you think the President of the United States should be able to differentiate between good and evil? If yes, what are you doing supporting Hillary Clinton who seemingly cannot differentiate?

No, I'm not talking about her handling of Benghazi as proof. Nor am I talking about her email problems as proof. But I am talking about her belief that a woman has the "right to choose" to hire another person to kill her innocent, unborn child but she would never say it like this because that would reveal the evil she supports/promotes.

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who change darkness into light, and light into darkness, who change bitter into sweet, and sweet into bitter" (Isaiah 5:20).

Yes, it's written on the human heart that killing the child in the womb is gravely immoral and evil. And if one cannot see this, how can this person be trusted for the most powerful position in the United States?

What credibility would she have?

As Mother Teresa said in her 1994 National Prayer Breakfast speech, "And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?"

CISA: Eternal vigilance is the price of Internet liberty

Well into the third decade of widely available Internet access for regular people, it's getting more and more difficult to focus public attention on threats to our freedoms in cyberspace. We're tired of having to constantly keep track of and squash the latest political and bureaucratic schemes to seize power over the Internet and what we do on it. And the politicians and bureaucrats are taking advantage of that fatigue, as we saw earlier this year when the Federal Communications Commission promulgated its "Net Neutrality" coup.

Now CISA (the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act) looks to be within weeks or even days of final passage by Congress. The US House of Representatives has already passed one version of the bill, and the Senate followed suit with another on October 27. Once the two houses reconcile their slightly different bills and take another vote, CISA will be on its way to President Obama's desk for signature.

It's time to shake off the fatigue, folks. Time to get on the horn to "your" congresscritters and tell them, in no uncertain terms, that you expect them to vote "no" on CISA when it comes back to the House and Senate floors for final approval.

The conceit behind CISA is that it's a "cybersecurity" bill which merely makes it easier for tech companies to "share" information with the federal government as a way of countering cyber-attacks.  Good for everyone. Adequate privacy protections. Yada yada yada.

If you believe that line, I'd like to talk with you about a friend of mine who died recently -- a Nigerian general who left $10 million in a bank account, and I could use your help getting it out.

If you're interested in cybersecurity, the LAST entity you want to trust with ANY of your information, EVER, is the federal government. Remember, these are the guys whose Office of Personnel Management got hacked earlier this year, exposing the personal information of more than 20 million people ... that we know of. The feds are to cybersecurity what Inspector Clouseau is to police procedure.

The real purpose of CISA is to make it easier for companies who cooperate with the illegal, unconstitutional domestic spying operations of the National Security Agency and other government agencies to get away with doing so. That's it. That's all. Nothing else.

CISA is the latest in a long line of actual and attempted Internet power grabs by the DC crowd. I know you're tired of fighting these outrages. I know you're tired of even hearing about them. But it's important. Let's put CISA down like the rabid dog it is, and put the politicians on notice that while we may be tired, we're not asleep.

Will we sentence our children to a thousand years of darkness?

Last week, under the cover of night, the spineless Congress passed a budget bill that will dramatically increase the debt burden on the American people. They essentially gave President Obama a blank check!

No matter which party is in power, the federal government has proved it is incapable of solving the debt crisis. After all, they manufactured this mess.

The good news is that young people all across the country are waking up to the fact that the federal government is broken. The ballooning national debt is stealing their present and future earnings, Obamacare is punishing them for being healthy, and the tax system is complicated and burdensome.

Will we be a generation that let the blessings of liberty slip from our grasp? Not on our watch!

Hiring the enemy

One would think that those who benefited the most from the free enterprise system would be its most ardent defenders when in fact the opposite is often the case. It has been said that free enterprise never wins because when a person succeeds they give the credit to themselves and when they fail they blame it on, "the system."

Worldwide, most of humanity has lived in abject poverty since the beginning of time. Capitalism is the system that created a middle class that lives better than kings and queens of the past could only have dreamed of and yet that system is singled out for unremitting attack from our culture and ironically from some of those who have benefited the most from it.

Take for instance Amazon.com founder and CEO Jeff Bezos. To those of us who admire the system, he is a hero. He started with nothing and created what is today one of the world's largest online retailers, resulting in great wealth for himself and a great shopping experience for the rest of us. What does he do with that wealth?

For one thing he bought the left leaning Washington Post. The result being that the Post is possibly more left wing than it was before he bought it. It features daily attacks on the system that allowed Bezos to succeed while heaping praise on the Obama Administration that has turned this country into an economic basket case with half of our workforce either unemployed or underemployed and an international laughing stalk.

Then, he hires Jay Carney to run his Washington lobbying shop. From January 2011 to May 2014 Mr. Carney was the Press Secretary to Obama. Prior to that he was Press Secretary to Joe Biden and prior to that he was Washington Bureau Chief for Time Magazine.

Mr. Bezos is not alone in hiring the enemy. Mr. Carney's predecessor as spokesmouth for Senator and then President Obama was Robert Gibbs. He is now the Executive Vice-President in charge of public relations for McDonald's Restaurants. While McDonald's pays Mr. Gibbs lavish amounts of money the Obama Administration's appointees on the NLRB are giving a maximum regulatory effort to destroying McDonald's franchise business model. Perhaps the thinking is that Mr. Gibbs will be great at handling the public relations for the restaurant chain's bankruptcy.

Another enterprise much admired by free marketers is Uber, an innovative company that came out of nowhere to revolutionize an industry and make life easier for its customers and contractors. Like all innovation Uber is under attack by state, local, federal and international bureaucrats. Who do they hire to fight this? David Plouffe, a man who has spent his entire adult life supporting and advising politicians who despise Uber-like innovation. Mr. Plouffe was campaign manager to President Obama's 2008 campaign and served as a Senior Adviser to the President from his first day in office up until January of 2013.

These companies and the people running them may think they are buying influence and access by hiring such people. In my view they are not. They are buying contempt from the political class who see through their cynicism and from their customers who do not understand why they would be hiring political arsonists to put out the very political fires they started.

What Price For Our Blue Water Navy Veterans

As of this writing there are 289 members of Congress who are co-sponsors of House Bill HR-969 and 34 member of the Senate who are co-sponsors of Senate Bill S.681.  Both Bills are titled,   The Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Agent Orange Act.  There are enough co-sponsors Congress and Senate to send these Bills to the floor for a vote.  They are held up in
committee. Why? Are our veterans not worth the attention they deserve? A budget has yet to be set for the care and wellbeing of this group of veterans known as Blue Water Navy.  Many are sick, many have died from diseases caused by the herbicide Agent Orange.  This deadly herbicide floated out to sea.  Our Navy ships in combat came in contact with this deadly chemical.  Some of our ships also transported barrels of Agent Orange.  In rough seas some of these barrels would break loose, the herbicide would be awash on deck and had to be cleaned up.  Unknowingly the cleanup crews did not know they were cleaning up death. Approximately 750,000 sailors served during the Vietnam War. Many have fallen sick to the herbicide and many have died.  Nearly all could not get benefits as our Congress refused to pass a Bill that would provide these Navy sailors with better quality of life.  These ships at sea provided air and gunnery support on targets inland, saving American troop's lives.  Does our government care about sick and dying Navy sailors?  No.  Their lives are not worth the dollars.   To the American people, write and call your members of Congress and Senate to pass the Bills, Congress HR-969 and Senate S.681.   Freedom is not Free, it is costly.

The President's outrageous new plan

I wasn't sure whether to write this.

I didn't want to offend you, or shock you.

But in the end, I decided to err on the side of keeping you informed—because this is too important—to our children, to our grandchildren and to the future of our nation.

The problem:
President Barack Obama is now promoting a sexual revolution more extreme, more perverse, more bizarre than anything you or I have ever imagined possible.

Specifically, he is backing legislation that would ban parents—including Christian parents—from arranging counseling to help protect their own children from engaging in a variety of forms of sexually immoral behavior.

It's absolutely astonishing to see a United States President repeatedly fail in his duties as commander-in-chief yet insist on interjecting himself as parent-in-chief into our private lives—driving the federal government to invade our homes and dictate areas of life that the government has no business even attempting to control.

We will fight this—with your help. We need your strong financial and prayer support today to push back on this outrageous "home invasion" with everything we've got.

How serious is the President about this dangerous aspect of "transforming America"?

Very serious. The President's most powerful adviser, a well-known extremist named Valerie Jarrett, has posted a statement on the White House website condemning parents who don't want their children to be "LGBTQ+" and who want professional counseling for their children. The White House even supports banning such counseling even if children and their parents want to avoid same-sex or other types of attractions. What does LGBTQ+ mean?

That alphabet soup stands for "Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer and More."

I debated whether to include a complete list—because it is repulsive—but visit downloads.frcaction.org/EF/EF15K01.pdf. The list clearly shows we are not overstating the severity of this issue.

It's clear how we came to this moment. The Supreme Court's dreadful ruling creating same-sex marriage emboldened the Left.

With the redefinition of marriage comes the redefinition of sexuality. And once you depart from what God created us to be, there's no end to where you can go.

And make no mistake, in order to reach their goal of radical sexual "liberation," a world totally free of all Christian boundaries and moral restraints, they have to silence Christians as a voice for morality in America.

Children will not be able to escape the Obama administration's planned psychological imprinting of their "tolerant" and "diverse" views of sexuality. This agenda will not allow them to escape even into their churches or their own homes.

Already President Obama has championed the transgender movement in the military; and in hiring at the White House itself; and by pushing legislation that would give men who identify as transgender the right to use women's bathrooms or locker rooms.

He is even taking his campaign to the world. At the United Nations, the U.S. government now officially uses the term "sexual rights" in discussing human rights and global development. Human rights aren't enough anymore. Even "reproductive rights" aren't broad enough. Now our government wants to encourage all forms of sexual behavior.

But now, he has shifted his focus upon our children.

FRC Action will strongly urge Congress and tirelessly work with our allies on the Hill to stand against this radical agenda.

Our policy experts will analyze bills, riders, and other legislative maneuvers word-by-word to ferret out any and every attempt by the administration to subvert the God-given role of parents in this country.

FRC Action's seasoned advocates will work with Members of Congress to find and defeat attempts to withhold education funds from the states that don't comply with the Obama agenda regarding transgenderism.

We will work at the state level too, to protect the rights of parents through legislation.

The federal government has no authority to compel parents to raise their children with perverse, immoral values. This is an attack on our religious freedom and we must resist at every step.

How The Democrats Stole America

What do the Democratic Party and a gang of criminals have in common? Funny you should ask!

In the fall of 2014, I found myself hauled into federal court for improperly donating money to a friend who was running for the Senate. I pled guilty, apologized for the offense, and was sentenced to eight months in a state-run confinement center. In the facility, I lived among hardened criminals—drug dealers, thieves, gangbangers, rapists, and murderers.

Previously, I had seen America through the eyes of a grateful immigrant who came here as a student and became successful by applying and defending conservative principles. Again and again, I've made the case that America is an exceptional nation, fundamentally fair and just.

My prolonged exposure to the criminal underclass provided an eye-opening education in American realities. In the view of hardened criminals, America is anything but fair and just. Instead, it is a jungle in which various armed gangs face off against one another, with the biggest and most powerful gangs inhabiting the federal government.

Applying this perspective to American politics, I see that America is becoming less exceedingly exceptional every day. Indeed, it is in danger of becoming just like India and other corrupt third world nations, run by gangs of kleptocrats. As for American liberalism, it is not a movement of ideas at all; it is but a series of scams and cons aimed at nothing less than stealing the wealth of the American people.

In the confinement center, I learned how the hoodlums think and how they operate, how they organize themselves in gangs, how they rip people off and crush their enemies. I understood, for the first time, the psychology of crookedness. Suddenly I had an epiphany: this system of larceny, corruption, and terror that I encountered firsthand in the confinement center is exactly the same system that has been adopted and perfected by modern progressivism and the Democratic Party.

My new book is an exposé of Obama, Hillary, and modern liberalism, not as a defective movement of ideas, but as a crime syndicate.

I need to bring to your attention an incident that occurred on the Cave Creek Road on Saturday. October 23, 2015 about 9:15a.m.; and it involved a bicyclist. My wife and I were traveling West on Cave Creek Road, having turned left, from School House Road. Driving lanes were condensed to the North side of Cave Creek, making sure that the event planned for Saturday, October 23 was safe for those folks crossing the streets at crosswalks; and the Deputies from the Sheriff's Office were making sure that the car traffic was under control.

We were traveling slowly at about 15-mph, keeping eye contact with the Deputies on our left, and watching those walking towards crosswalks on our right, as well as making sure we were aware of cars both in front and behind us. From my left side, a bicyclist, whom I did not see and did not expect, came up fast, swerved in front of my car traveling to the right side of the road, and sped-up to resume his speed. He did not acknowledge me, seemed unawares of what he just did, and went on his merry way. This could have become a very serious accident. I did not expect nor did I watch for a bicyclist trying to get passed slowed traffic by passing me on the left.

I am not one to complain since I have nothing but kind words for the good citizens of Cave Creek and the businesses locally that I support. But, I do believe something needs to be done to control what I consider to be bicyclists that do not heed restricted lanes of traffic for special events, or do not exercise common sense under the circumstances. I would suggest that bicyclists be prevented from traveling through Cave Creek during special events that require restricted lanes of traffic for cars and those using the crosswalks.

I do not mean to sound like an old crank; but, I do view this issue as a serious problem. I think restricting bicycle traffic for these special events is a start in the right direction. If it would help, you have my permission to publish this letter as a letter to the editor.
