Carefree Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce Now Accepting Float Entries for Holiday Parade of Lights

CAREFREE – The Carefree Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce is now accepting parade entries for the 8th Annual Carefree Christmas Festival’s Holiday Parade of Lights that will take place on Saturday, December 12, 100 Easy Street in downtown Carefree.

Cave Creek collects 5,000 gifts for children in need

November 16-23: Cave Creek opens collection site for world’s largest Christmas project

CAVE CREEK – This month, Black Mountain Baptist Church will serve as a collection site for Operation Christmas Child—the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind. The annual Samaritan’s Purse project is a favorite of many Cave Creek residents, families, churches and groups who spread joy to millions of children around the world by filling shoeboxes with fun toys, school supplies, hygiene items and notes of encouragement.

Upcoming tours of Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center

Come out to see some of Arizona’s native wildlife

SCOTTSDALE – Southwest Wildlife is a nonprofit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and releases native southwest animals. The animals that are not able to be released have a safe home for life at our wildlife sanctuary in northeast Scottsdale. We are the only sanctuary in Arizona capable of caring for large mammals such as black bears, mountain lions and Mexican gray wolves. Southwest Wildlife is open on a limit basis to the public, offering tours, events, and educational programs.

Western stage to premiere November 14 at the Buffalo Chip Saloon & Steakhouse

CAVE CREEK – A temporary western stage is set to debut to the public on Saturday, November 14, 2015. According to Larry Wendt, owner of the famous Buffalo Chip Saloon and Steakhouse, the 40 X 80-foot stage is being built using all rustic plank wood and materials.

“We are very excited about this phenomenal extension to our entertainment and restaurant venue,” says Wendt. “This will create a new experience for the residents, visitors, tourists and corporate event guests who visit The Buffalo Chip in historic Cave Creek.”
