It's pretty clear that they have some inherent female ethical compulsion to "protect" a person, a value or an idea simply because it's the right thing to do. They all possess the courage to fight for it because there is a moral imperative to do so. That is what compelled Thatcher – "I am in politics because of the conflict between good and evil and I believe that in the end good will triumph."
