KFYI 550 AM used to be the premier radio station for conservative talk show hosts. They still are five days a week with Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. for Rush and 1 – 4 p.m. for Sean. Currently, they are both heard on Sundays as well.

I received a call from a conservative friend who wanted to know what options exist since Barry Young left KFYI; he was especially angry with the 4 – 7 p.m. host, Chris Merrill. I agree with him. Merrill is not a conservative, far from it. He is full of loud antics, clearly shows his egoism and is redundant. For instance, when Arizona Superintendent of Education Diane Douglas was on the show, she said she had to go and he has played the hang up countless times.

In the morning the ex-evening host Mike Broomhead presides along with his tech, Andrew Babinski. Broomhead has also told us countless times he was an electrical contractor as well as other family issues – who cares?

The first and best alternative is Patriot 960 AM. They have a few excellent conservative hosts: Michael Medved, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Pragar, Hugh Hewitt, Mark Levin, Seth Leibsohn and Bill Bennett.

Former Arizona Senate President Russell Pearce, who authored many immigration laws the government has tried to suppress, used to be on the Patriot. He is missed!

I finally found Michael Savage (The Savage Nation) on KFNX 1100 AM, 5 – 8 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Wikipedia writes:

“Savage has summarized his political philosophy in three words: borders, language, and culture. Savage has characterized his views as conservativenationalism, while critics have characterized them as ‘fostering extremism or hatred.’ He opposes illegal immigration to the United States, supports the English-only movement and argues that liberalism and progressivism are degrading American culture. Although his radio delivery is mainly characterized as politically themed, he also often covers topics such as medicine, nutrition, music, literature, history, theology, philosophy, sports, business, economics, and culture, and tells personal anecdotes.”

Sounds somewhat like Donald Trump doesn’t he?

It is no surprise Savage has critics. So do Limbaugh and Hannity, but neither have the stones to really get honest. There are so many things about Obama to dislike in addition to illegal acts. Yet, because he is “black” even our conservative hosts give him freedom to destroy America. Savage was far more open to criticizing people who deserve it.

So, the quick answer is, if you are offended by KFYI when Limbaugh or Hannity aren’t on or miss the boat, go to the Patriot at 960 AM on the dial or Independent Talk on KFNX 1100 AM. They have some real heavyweights.

Back to The Donald

I just read an article by Thomas Sewell, a famous black economist who is a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Standford University. He is a highly acclaimed conservative. Today he said:

Despite a nuclear Iran looming on the horizon, the media seem to be putting most of their attention on two candidates for their respective parties’ presidential nominations next year. Moreover, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump each make their own party nervous.

If next year’s election comes down to Clinton versus Trump, a lot of people may simply stay home.”

I am surprised at Sowell’s statement, which is more like a Washington establishment defense of the status quo. Sowell is a genius, no doubt, but I believe he is wrong.

These statements, from rightwise.com are Rush Limbaugh’s current view of Trump:

The top conservative radio host in America Rush Limbaugh gave his full support to many aspects of Donald Trump’s bold immigration proposal. And on his radio show, he made an announcement that America needs to hear!

Trump’s ideas are not fringe, are not outliers, they are mainstream. They represent the views and the attitudes of the people who make this country work,” Limbaugh opined.

Now, the inside-the-Beltway people, when they hear that, they cringe, ‘Oh, my God, don’t say that’s what Republicans [stand for] — oh, God.’ [But the] people are standing up and cheering. They don’t want their country given away, for crying out loud! […] I’m telling you, that one has people standing up and cheering.

And…

It’s amazing. Sixteen people are running for the presidency, and… 15 of them are perceived to have essentially the same policy on immigration. One of them is entirely different from the other 15, and he’s the one who’s leading. Now, don’t you think people inside the Beltway should be able to look at this and put two and two together and figure out what is causing this? They can chalk it up to celebrity, they can chalk it up to pop culture, they can chalk it up to circus.

Limbaugh noted what the political establishment is coming to realize: Trump’s position as the leading GOP candidate for President is real. And Donald Trump is doing it by holding the views of mainstream conservatives instead of the beltway elite!

Limbaugh is the top radio commentator in America that shares genius status with Sowell and others. What he says is almost clairvoyant. Get behind a candidate who mirrors the kind of leader the founders envisioned.

GO TRUMP!
