dft sherlock holmesDFT presents “Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Suicide Club” March 20-29
Desert Foothills Theater (DFT), a division of the Foothills Community Foundation, presents “Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Suicide Club” March 20-29 in the intimate Black Box Theater of Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center, 33606 N. 60th Street, in North Scottsdale. This witty suspense is set in the heart of London. Behind the impassive facade of a windowless house, some of Europe’s most powerful men gather to play a game of murder. The Suicide Club has a new member: Sherlock Holmes – brilliant, perceptive, the greatest detective in the English-speaking world. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets range from $13.50 to $29.99. Group sale discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. SAL 40th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser
Have you purchased your tickets yet? Who are you planning on bringing? The Sonoran Arts League celebration will be held at Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion on Carefree on Saturday, March 21 from 6:30-10 p.m. Tickets are now available online or call the League office 480-575-6624. General Admission Tickets $20 | League Members $15. Silent Auction Fundraiser, Entertainment by the Sahnas Brothers, three Arizona Wineries (50% of all wine sales will be donated to the League), Hors d'oeuvres. 75% of the funds raised will go toward youth art.

50th Anniversary Birthday Breakfast and Celebration Of Excellence
The Carefree Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its golden milestone with a 50th Anniversary Birthday Breakfast and Celebration of Excellence on Thursday, March 26, from 8-9:30 a.m. A full breakfast buffet, including Eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, and other refreshments will be served. Yappy Hour on the Terrace
Wine and iced tea for humans, treats for the pups. Join us, with your dog (or just because you're a dog-lover), mingle on the Waterfall Terrace Thursday, March 26 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m., and enjoy hearing published author Krista Cantrell share "how to love your dog". Krista is an animal behaviorist and "dog whisperer" who works with dogs on many levels, including agility training. Foothills Animal Rescue will be on hand to collect donations from their wish list: Natural Balance dry Dog and Cat Food or Trader Joe's Canned Dog Food, Kong or rope toys, small dog biscuits.
