Scottsdale Stadium hosts first AZ Fall League game
Arizona Fall League baseball returns to Scottsdale Stadium at 6:35 p.m. Oct. 8 when the home team Scottsdale Scorpions host the Salt River Rafters. Former Fall League players include Mike Trout, Bryce Harper and Derek Jeter. While at the stadium, visit the Arizona Fall League Hall of Fame and concession stands. Individual adult game tickets are $7. Senior and children tickets are $6. The stadium is at 7408 E. Osborn Road.

Scottsdale International Film Festival Oct. 9-13
Scottsdale International Film Festival runs Thursday-Monday, Oct. 9-13. The festival is a destination event and catalyst for connecting diverse filmmakers from around the world. This year’s festival will feature dozens of films from various nations at multiple times throughout the five-day run.

37th Annual Soroptimist Spaghetti Dinner
Soroptimist International of Saguaro Foothills will again host this premier fundraiser – the 37th Annual Spaghetti Dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 14. Dinner will be served starting at 5 p.m., ending at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children; 5 yrs and under are free. For tickets and more info call 480-221-8623. Tea Party Scottsdale Meeting Oct. 16
Scottsdale Unified School District candidates Laddie Shane and Pam Kirby will be featured speakers, presentations by the Arizona directors of "Run Ben, Run", a move to draft Dr. Ben Carson for President and Christine Porter of Clear The Bench, an organization dedicated to improving Arizona's judiciary.
