PHOENIX – The Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame (AzWHF) will now be inducting two living women each year into the Hall of Fame. In the odd years, the living women will be honored at the induction ceremony along with five posthumous women. In the even years, the living women will be honored at the Arizona Women’s History Symposium.

The Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the 2015 induction ceremony for “Living Legacies.”  In 2015, two living women will be inducted, one from the legal field and one from field of arts and humanities. The Executive Committee of the Women’s Hall of Fame encourages nominations of Arizona women from all walks of life and various backgrounds.

Two women will be chosen from the nominees that are submitted.  Nominations are due December 1, 2014, and should be sent to the Arizona State Archives, 1901 W. Madison, Phoenix, AZ 85009. Nomination forms are available on the Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame website at: https://www.azwhf.org/inductions/living-legacies.

The Arizona Women’s Commission and the Office of Governor Bruce Babbitt established the Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame in 1980. Since that time, 89 women have been inducted. The Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame program pays tribute to the remarkable women whose contributions have created and shaped our communities. The honorees join the permanent exhibit at the Carnegie Library in Phoenix.
