AUGUST 27, 2014
15th Annual Sharing Down Syndrome Walk
WHEN & WHERE:
7:30 –11 a.m.; Sept. 20
Tempe Diablo Stadium
(Angels Spring Training Facility)
2200 W. Alameda Drive, Tempe, AZ 85282
We want to invite you to join us! This is our biggest event of the year with over 3,000 people in attendance and it's a blast!!! (Note: the actual walk is very short, and is suitable for all ages and abilities.)
There are many ways to join us and in doing so, you will help Sharing Down Syndrome Arizona to raise the much needed funds to provide free assistance to the hundreds of people who call our organization each year needing help.
Did you know? We never charge families for assistance or to participate in our events.
From new parent visitations, and statewide parent support groups, to the awesome holiday parties put on each year, it takes a lot of money to help families who have family members with Down syndrome, and that's where the Sharing Down Syndrome Walk comes in!
If you or a family member have been helped by Sharing Down Syndrome Arizona, we hope that you will take the time to "pay it forward" and help us help others too.
Here's how you can get involved. Choose one or two options or as many as you want!!
1. Create A Team and Walk! This is our most popular choice! Create a team in honor of your loved one with Down syndrome and enlist your friends, family and coworkers to walk in the event or donate to your team! The team that raises the most money gets to lead the walk with the Phoenix Suns Gorilla and will receive a framed picture of "Gentle Heart" by Nancy Noel!
2. Donate! If you don't feel like creating your own team, then donate to a specific team or just make a general donation. You can donate any amount you want!
3. Volunteer! It takes hundreds of volunteers to put on the Walk. If you have friends or family that would love to help, please let us know.
4. Sponsor! We are so grateful for our sponsors! Sponsors are welcome to donate money or "in-kind." We are looking for employers and businesses who want to make a difference in the lives of people who have Down syndrome!
Big HUGE THANK YOU to our sponsors who have already signed on for this year!!

The Sharing Down Syndrome Walk makes it possible for us to continue our family support by providing monthly educational meetings, in English and Spanish, hosting new parent gatherings, personally delivering new parent support packages to new parents of beautiful babies with Down syndrome and more!!
The Walk is appropriate for all ages and abilities and will begin with a light continental breakfast followed by a short stroller friendly walk around the Tempe Diablo Stadium.
Post walk activities will include fun and games with bouncers, rock wall climbing, carnival games, and dancing to the music of Radio Disney, and much more. Also, meet our Super Hero Friends.
Stop by our exhibitor booths to learn more about the activities, resources, and services available in our community to families who have loved ones with Down syndrome.
Please come and join us if you have Down syndrome, if you love someone who does, or if you want to show your support.
