Monday, July 28 last day to register to vote in Primary Election

STATEWIDE – Secretary of State Ken Bennett reminds Arizonans that Mon., July 28 before midnight is the last day to register to vote or update voter registration to cast a ballot in the upcoming August 26 Primary Election.
“It is encouraging to see the citizens of Arizona taking seriously their role in government,” said Secretary Bennett. “The ability to vote for our leaders is a fundamental right more people should exercise.”
To be eligible to register, a person must be a citizen of the United States, 18 or older as well as a resident of Arizona and the county listed on the person’s registration. To view personal voter registration information, go online to the Secretary of State’s website at www.azsos.gov and click on the Voter View icon. Information on a person’s current registration, polling place, party affiliation and more is available.
There are three different ways to register to vote: by mail, in-person and online. Mail-in registration forms are available from the County Recorder and online from the Secretary of State at www.azsos.gov and click on the Voter Registration icon. Simply, fill in the form, print the form, sign and date it, affix the proper postage and mail the form to the County Recorder of the county of legal residence. In-person registration is also available at the County Recorder’s Office. If a legal Arizona resident has an identification card or driver license issued by the state of Arizona, the resident may register to vote or update voter registration online at www.ServiceArizona.com.
