eBay Small Business Challenge
eBay Inc. and its subsidiary PayPal have offices in Scottsdale. These employees have expressed a desire to connect with the communities where they live and work. From that desire, the local program of eBay's Small Business Challenge was born.
The Small Business Challenge gives employees at eBay Inc. the opportunity to spend 10 percent of their working time with a team of like-minded employees, partnering with a local small business or non-profit to learn about their operations and solve IT challenges they have identified. This work is donated for free, as a community service.
Merchants wishing to take advantage of free IT work must submit an application. The Scottsdale offices of eBay Inc. will be accepting applications from local businesses through July 18, 2014. Between the beginning of August and the week of Nov. 3, a team of four to six eBay employees will donate 10 percent of their working time to help the chosen business or non-profit solve issues.
