Research has supported the idea that mental activity, such as bridge, can play a role in reducing the effects of Alzheimer’s. In addition to the funds raised at the games, the ACBL is donating all of the table fees to the Alzheimer’s Association. The American Contract Bridge League has joined with the Alzheimer’s Association in an annual fund raising event. Bridge clubs all across North America hold special games in support of this worthy endeavor on June 21.
