Volunteer ‘BUILDers’ will join LEGO® artist Dave Shaddix in creating 70-by-80-inch version of Navajo artist Marlowe Katoney’s ‘Angry Birds’ textile

WHAT: Local LEGO® builder Dave Shaddix is coordinating the brick-by-brick assembly of tens of thousands of brightly colored LEGO® bricks to create a 70-by-80-inch version of Navajo artist Marlowe Katoney’s ‘Angry Birds’ wool textile that will come to life over four hours. The completed work will be part of the upcoming exhibit, BUILD! Toy Brick Art at the Heard, opening May 24.

WHEN: Saturday, May 4, 2014, noon to 4 p.m.
