Come by to shop and consign

Tucked away in a parking lot behind the local Dairy Queen, Cowboy Joe’s provides Cave Creek with a furniture consignment store that’s looking to be different from the other local shops around town.

Aside from Cowboy Joe’s brightly colored signs, the thing that sets the shop apart from much of the rest of the town is the vast array of styles of furniture and decorative items. Despite the name, the store’s merchandise doesn’t necessarily carry the “western” motif that has become synonymous with Cave Creek.

Whole Foods Market supports the Sonoran Arts League

What: Shoppers can take advantage of Whole Food Market’s “5% Community Support Day” to benefit the Sonoran Arts League. Shop for wholesome foods on that day, and 5% of the store’s sales will be contributed to the League. Shoppers can also enter a drawing to win original works of art or may purchase “mini master-pieces” created by local talented artists. Each one-of-a-kind “mini masterpiece” is a 2” x 2” signed original; it could be in oil, acrylic, glass, metal, or other medium of the artist’s choice and comes with its own mini easel for display. Artists will also be on-site to offer demonstrations of their special talents, and to answer questions.
