SCOTTSDALE – Scottsdale Mayor W.J. “Jim” Lane’s 2014 State of the City address will be Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Scottsdale Marriott at McDowell Mountains (16770 N. Perimeter Drive). A reception begins at 11:30 a.m. and the mayor’s remarks will start at 12:30 p.m.

General admission to hear the mayor’s remarks is free to the public.

Those who wish to join the mayor and other community leaders for the reception and lunch, which starts at 11:30 a.m., can purchase individual tickets for $50.

Proceeds will go to “Operation Fix It,” a program that teams volunteers and businesses to assist homeowners or tenants who are physically or financially unable to maintain their properties.

“With the money raised at last year’s luncheon, the city more than doubled the number of people helped through Operation Fix It,” said Mayor Lane. “I am pleased once again to be able to help this great community program, and thankful for the Scottsdale Business Development forum for putting this event together.”

The Scottsdale Business Development Forum is a private organization whose goal is to proactively recruit businesses to the region and strengthen the city’s economic base. RSVP and purchase tickets by emailing Greg Patterson: [email protected].
