Art Nosh Wine & Cheese
SMoCA presents Pop Art: aka Why are Soup Cans Art? Friday, January 17 – 4-5:30 p.m.
Enjoy a nosh while being educated and entertained. A look at the international art movement that, from the humble beginnings of familiar objects, has revolutionized what is considered to be art over the last 60 years. Enrollment Open House
Foothills Academy College Prep will have an Enrollment Open House for new families on January 22 from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm at both the elementary and middle/high school campuses. Foothills Academy is a top rated school, which includes an elementary school for grades K-6 located at 4720 E. Want a letter delivered via the Hashknife Pony Express, the oldest officially sanctioned Pony Express in the United States? Simply place your letter with the address you want it delivered to with the correct postage in a larger envelope. Send it to Postmaster, 7242 E. Osborn Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85251, or Postmaster, Holbrook, AZ 86025 by mid-January. Then celebrate the Old West and a Scottsdale tradition at high noon Friday, Jan. 31, when the Hashknife Pony Express thunders into town. More than two dozen Navajo County Sheriff's Posse members participate in this 200-mile horseback trek. Riders start in Holbrook and end up at the Hashknife sculpture on Scottsdale’s Marshall Way Bridge, delivering 20,000 letters by horseback.
