“Come Paint With Me”

virginia brooksVirginia Brooks has long been a fixture in local art community. She is one of the founders of the Sonoran Art Leagues ’s Hidden in the Hills Studio Tour and a regular exhibitor at the Thunderbird Artists Fine Art and Wine Festivals in Carefree.

“Teaching what I love has come very naturally to me. But I wanted to take a very different approach. Large classes make for a difficult way to learn, so I offer private and semi private lessons. We paint together, using the same subject. I explain every thing I am doing, step by step. All ages find an encouraging environment at my studio.”

Supplies are included; canvas, paint and brushes. Painters can try oils without having to purchase the materials. And many of them, after having experienced the pleasures of painting in oils, choose to make the permanent switch to the medium.

“I have made wonderful new friends in the process. Painters are invariably fun, creative souls, whether they are beginners or the advanced painter wanting to learn something very specific. The people who paint with me are able to complete a painting in just two sessions and it is a pleasure to watch them grow.”

Virginia will be at Studio #39, the home studio of Come Paint With Me, for the Hidden in the Hills Studio Tour, which runs November 22 – 24 and again on Thanksgiving weekend. She encourages potential painters to come for a visit so that she can show them how she teaches. Virginia has been a long-time exhibitor at the Carefree Fine Art and Wine Festivals in November, January and March. “No true art lover should miss any of these events.” For more information visit www.virginiabrooks.com or call 480-220-6696.
