PHOENIX – The Arizona Game and Fish Department's award-winning television show, Arizona Wildlife Views, was awarded three Emmy® Awards by the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). The awards ceremony took place on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Carol Lynde, video production supervisor at Game and Fish, took home the Emmy in the "Environmental Program" category for "Eagle Nest Reborn," a video account of the department's biologists who helped save a breeding pair of bald eagles when their nest became tick infested and had to be destroyed to protect future bald eagle nestlings. Lynde also won two Emmys for the story, "Moving Bighorn Sheep." The Arizona Wildlife Views story won in the "Environmental Program Segment" category and for "Direction, Post-Production." The winning story chronicled the huge effort taken to relocate 30 desert bighorn sheep from the hills around Canyon Lake to the Mineral Mountains near Florence, Arizona. "We're very proud of the video storytellers who document the variety, challenges and natural beauty of wildlife in Arizona for the Game and Fish Department," said Larry Voyles, director of the Arizona Game and Fish Department. "Our dedicated production team showcases our efforts to conserve, enhance and restore Arizona's diverse wildlife resources, and these Emmy awards are proof of the exceptional work they do."
