The North Valley Regional Library is hosting an exhibit of the 2013 Mountains of the Land Trust Photo Contest winning entries October 28-November 1. The display will be set up directly outside the library’s study rooms.

The photo contest, which ended October 18, was designed to encourage a deeper appreciation for the unique characteristics of Black Mountain and Daisy Mountain—iconic landmarks at the heart of the Desert Foothills community.

Professional photographers Alan Lowy, Kazu Okutomi, Richard Rubenstein, Jerry Sieve and Mike Spinelli will select 13 winning photos, including one in the under-18 age category.

The exhibit will be on display at these following locations:

October 26-27, Anthem Autumnfest;

October 28-November 1, North Valley Regional Library;

November 4-10, Cave Creek Museum;

November 11-December 4, Desert Foothills Library.

NVRL customers and visitors are asked to vote for the “People’s Choice Award” during the exhibit’s library’s showing. People’s Choice voting will not end until November 15, when the exhibit is at its final stop.
