Packages From Home community service project continues through July
CAVE CREEK – Sonoran News is pleased to sponsor the “Packages From Home” community service project.
Packages From Home is a 501(3)c. Their primary purpose is to provide food, personal care, and recreational items to deployed American troops, at no cost to them. They collect donated items from generous patriotic American citizens. Their staff and volunteers carefully pack the donations and mail them to U.S. servicemen and women overseas. Monetary donations go toward mailing costs and/or purchasing special items to send.
Packages From Home has provided the list of needed food items. Everyone is encouraged to contribute!

Their generous support of this community-wide effort helps ensure our success. Wilhelm Automotive is a permanent donation location for Packages From Home; their support is sincerely appreciated.
Kudos to Sanderson Ford & Sanderson Lincoln for providing donation boxes and fliers and delivering them. Sanderson has also generously offered to pick up and deliver the food we collect during our month-long drive to Packages from Home, located on the Phoenix Memorial Hospital Campus. The effort would have been almost impossible without them!

Packages From Home needs these food items:
Campbell soup (10 3/4 oz.)
Canned fruit (12 to 16 oz.)
Chef Boyardee or equivalent (15 oz.)
Drink Mix Singles (Wylers, Crystal Lite, Hawaiian Punch, coffee)
Individual packs of creamer, sugar, ketchup, mustard, mayo
Jelly, squeezable, in plastic containers (20.5 oz.)
Peanut Butter (18 oz.)
Tabasco sauce (2 oz. size)
Trail Mix, Corn Nuts, Sunflower seeds, etc. (2-4 oz.)
Tuna (5-7 oz.)
