NAGR wins legal battle over Right to Carry

The National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR) is proud to report that a federal judge in Denver ruled on Thursday that it was unlawful for the U.S. Postal Service to ban firearms in their parking lot.

“The federal judge made the right decision in recognizing Americans’ Second Amendment rights,” said Dudley Brown, Executive Vice President of the National Association for Gun Rights. “It’s a shame we have to go to court to protect our right to bear arms, but we will fight every time the government attempts to infringe on the rights of law-abiding gun owners.”

NAGR will appeal the portion of the ruling that continues to ban legally concealed
handguns in the physical Post Office.

“Our goal is to make the U.S. Postal Service a safer place,” said Brown, “by getting rid of their ludicrous ban on their customers’ ability to carry the tools of self-defense.”

NAGR and Tad Bonidy of Colorado filed suit against this firearm ban on U.S. Postal Service property in 2010 at the U.S. District Court in Denver. With more than 3 million members and supporters, the National Association for Gun Rights is America’s fastest-
growing and most effective grassroots gun rights organization.
