The news was full of articles about the Associated Press eliminating the term illegal immigrant from their style book. No mention of the fact the U.S. government still uses Illegal Alien, as we do, since it is factual.

Republicans need to grow up about taxes

Republicans are flailing about these days, trying to rebrand themselves before the next election cycle. A certain amount of introspection and internecine debate is inevitable after suffering a stinging loss against an opponent with a dismal record. One thing the GOP needs to do to gain greater acceptance among voters is to improve their credibility by outgrowing a tiresome, unthinking opposition to any and all tax increases.

Taxes! Enough is enough

I wish we could abolish the Internal Revenue Service and eliminate all taxes for every American. It's a nice dream. I think we are stuck with taxes but we should not give up the dream of cutting taxes and continuing to be creative in looking for taxes that we can eliminate. As long as we have Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid we will have taxes to pay.

Progressives believe in money magic

It’s hard to believe that in the 21st century, educated people believe the government can produce real wealth by creating money. It’s especially ironic that the main preachers of this superstition fancy themselves progressives and are the first to accuse their opponents of being against science.
