Federal Gun Control

I have received word that if one more item of gun control legislation of any kind comes out of Congress, every gun owner, every gun dealer, every gun distributor, and every gun manufacturer in America is going to hold a "Burn Barrel Day" in the city square and burn every 4473, every statement, every invoice, every shipping manifest, every bound book, and every record of any and every firearm in the United States of America.

If Congress and the Obama administration do not want to totally lose control and oversight of every firearm in the United States of America, it might be strongly suggested they knock this crap off.

Jeff Flake flakes out

Dear Fellow Patriot,

“You bet!”
That’s what Republican U.S. Senator Jeff Flake said when asked if he supports President Obama’s nationalized gun-control agenda. 1

To make matters worse, he’s now touting President Obama’s rhetoric when it comes to expanded background checks.

“All of us Republicans and Democrats recognize that we need more effective and broader background checks,” he recently told Politico. 1

This sort of Washington beltway blabber is what we’ve come to expect out of Arizona’s Senior U.S. Senator, John McCain…

But watching Junior Jeff fold like a house of cards after spending months paying gun owners lip-service is disappointing.

Donald, I’ve been lobbying to protect our gun rights for a quarter century. What Senator Flake is doing is the first step toward complete submission to anti-gun schemes.
We’re talking about:

1.) Expanded “Background Checks:”
This massive expansion of government approval and NATIONAL REGISTRATION to buy, sell and trade guns is in the works. It would effectively end private sales of firearms.

With background check forms, President Obama and his pals can register, track and trace every firearm in America.

2.) “Mental Health” Reporting Requirements:

Now, Donald, Are you crazy?

That might seem like an odd question, but I’m asking that because you might be -- at least according to President Obama and his anti-gun pals.

As it is right now, hundreds of thousands of veterans have lost their gun rights, possibly for life, after being diagnosed with PTSD.

Now anti-gunners are talking about expanding this kind of bureaucratic rigmarole to everyone.

Do you really trust President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder enough to hand them all the tools they need to create a national gun registry?

Do you really trust them collecting information about you from your psychologist, counselor, or therapist?

Sadly, Jeff Flake’s recent comments indicate he would
.
Just what else will Senator Flake flake-out on before this is all over?

*** A new so-called "Assault Weapons" Ban that would outlaw thousands of semi-automatic rifles and pistols simply for “looking too scary.”

*** Sweeping ammo bans or bans on magazines holding just a handful of rounds. With any one of these schemes, Congress could effectively outlaw many commonly-owned rifles and handguns.

*** The UN "Small Arms Treaty." This dangerous Clinton-Kerry backed Treaty is nothing more than a massive GLOBAL gun control scheme designed to register, ban and confiscate firearms from law-abiding citizens.

Fighting these measures will prove hard enough without so-called “pro-gun” Senators like Flake stabbing gun owners in the back
.

You see, Senator Flake is backtracking, trying to sound “reasonable” to the anti-gun intellectuals who rule Washington D.C.’s cocktail circuit.

I cannot tell you how many supposedly “pro-gun” politicians have started down this path when faced with pressure.

It virtually always means they are ready to cave-in to the anti-gunners and support President Obama's outrageous anti-gun agenda
.

Without our action, the ONLY voices politicians like Senator Flake will hear will be those of the gun-grabbers and their pals in the media.
If that continues, you and I will lose and lose BIG. Bank on it.
The good news is, you and I can fight back.
But we must mobilize quickly.

I need you to do these four things, right this moment.

1.) Call Senator Flake at (202) 224-4521 and insist that he apologize for cozying up with Obama and his anti-gun allies.

2.) Leave Senator Flake a comment on Facebook
Tell him to oppose ALL gun control -- including Obama's expanded background checks and gun registration scheme.

3.) Click here to sign the No Deals on Gun Control Petition. Add your voice to those across the country who refuse to sit by while our right keep and bear arms is under attack.

4.) Ask all of your gun owning friends in Arizona to call Senator Flake and insist he oppose all new anti-gun schemes including “expanded background check” and “mental health” reporting requirements.

The only way to cut through the fog of anti-gun lies is to turn up the heat. That’s why it’s so important that you contact Senator Flake, TODAY.

I hope I can count on you to join me in the fight.

For Freedom,

Dudley Brown

Obama WH leads in darkness, distortion, economy, stimulus fraud, etc.

When we watch and listen to President Obama on any day, anyone with any prior recorded speeches, memory, and/or other experience must come to a decision that as President Obama says one thing today is, perhaps, opposite of his expressions of yesterday and/or yesteryear.

It appears President Obama's decisions include lack of professionalism in leadership, his appointments, etc., as well as in improving our weakened economy.  President Obama's political decisions are near most 'opposite thinking' of any and all successful decisions that have been fruitful in working so well for our economy in more than 200 years.  Additionally, we read, see, and hear of catastrophes within the Justice Department, National Security, tax-evasion appointees, and the $831 billion 'Stimulus' potential frauds; many involve approving America's taxpayers' money awarded to friends and donors of the White House and Capitol Hill Democrats.

After more than four years of blaming President George Bush for Obama's failing economy, President Obama is now blaming Speaker Boehner and Congressional Republicans for his own political and fiscal failures.  When will this 'childlike' President accept any of his own irresponsibility?

While President Obama's friend and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has, in four consecutive years, failed to pass a Senate 'budget' as required by law, President Obama continues to praise Sen. Reid's failures of Constitutional law.

President Obama's record illustrates how our economy continues to slump as reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics with 'U-6 Total unemployed, plus all persons marginally attached to the labor force, plus total employed part time for economic reasons, as a percent of the civilian labor force plus all persons marginally attached to the labor force unemployment heights' nears 'depression' levels of 14.4 percent as managed under Obama's failed political and fiscal policies.

Additionally, President Obama's political policy failures seem to be based on National Security. Obama's team lacks competence exposing failures of Embassy employees, who were under a terrorist attack for seven hours that left U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other U.S. nationals to die on September 11, 2012 in Benghazi, Libya; and without the US Consulate's requested assistances for help.

Former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton and the Obama Administration continue to focus on, not what the failures were and/or what may have prevented these lives, but to repeat that this Administration's efforts are to make sure it doesn't happen again.  There were serious failures as if some on the Obama team may have been unknowing, uncaring, intoxicated, and/or on drugs, rather than being knowing, caring, sober, alert, and on the job.

News reports say President Obama, himself, never had any telephone communications during this time frame.  American servants deserve more than as was provided these four Americans as they were dying in this instance.

Lest we forget Fast and Furious!  Evidence may prove that several associates in President Obama's administration, including the US Justice Department, and members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) acted in the Fast and Furious plot while selling and/or approving the sale of automatic rifles, shotguns, and pistols, to a 'Mexican drug cartel'; weapons that were used in 'murdering' at least 3 innocent Americans and hundreds of Mexicans. Our Justice Department and/or ATF had devised a scheme in an attempt to blame U.S. firearms manufacturers as scapegoats for this criminal violence. There are even more continuing failures.  Are you confused?  From President Obama's News Transcript on March 1, 2013, President Obama says, "Look, we've already cut $2.5 trillion in our deficit."  How, what, where, and when has President Obama cut $2.5 Trillion?  Please, show the facts!

The National debt has increased by more than $6 trillion since President Barack Obama took office, marking the largest increase under any president in history.

US Government and Obama's Deficits are for: FY 2010: $1.293 Trillion; FY 2011: $1.300 Trillion; FY 2012: $1.089 Trillion; and FY 2013* $901 Billion (Note: Federal Deficit is budgeted.)  The National debt under President Obama's 'clock' has now exceeded $6 Trillion.

Lastly, while President Obama continues to promise and repeatedly claims
http://freebeacon.com/obama-claims-administration-most-transparent-in-history 'transparency', he and his administration practice the opposite.  Worse of all, he is failing America and our citizens and our children on all social, fiscal, and national security issues.
May God Bless America!

Rep. Allen proposes HB2480 to eliminate mandatory Bar Association

Arizona is a right to work state; so why are attorneys required to be part of a union?
Rep. Allen believes mandatory Bar is unconstitutional; eliminating the Bar would eliminate many of the injustices it commits against attorneys.

Representative John Allen has introduced a bill which is well overdue, HB2480. It would remove the left wing Arizona Bar's stranglehold over attorneys, ending its ability to target and discipline conservatives in politically motivated attacks. It is no coincidence that half of the candidates who ran for the Bar's Board of Governors last year included "reigning in the Bar's excessive discipline" in their platforms. This is evidence of an epidemic and a cancer in Arizona's legal community.

We have been seeing the corruption of the Bar's disciplinary judge William O'Neil exposed over the last few months from his former friend Mark Dixon. It's time to end this reign of terror and Allen's bill will do that. Attorneys in Arizona are terrified to speak up about their political views or their opposition to the Bar for fear of being targeted. They have no free speech in their profession. Every attorney who has been disciplined by Judge O'Neil has coincidentally never been allowed back into the practice of law - with the exception of Tom Horne's "close friend" Carmen Chenal, who we suspect had the power through Horne to broker a deal with O'Neil, unlike Andrew Thomas and other conservatives.

Rep. Allen does an excellent job explaining the unconstitutionality of a mandatory Bar in this hearing. Rep. Eddie Farnsworth observes that even if an attorney is not practicing law, they are required to pay an annual fee of $280 just to continue to "have" the ability to practice law ever again (without being required to take the Bar exam again).

Any discipline of attorneys would be done by the Supreme Court instead, not a left wing State Bar. 20 other states do not have mandatory Bar associations. Here is the language in the bill.
AN ATTORNEY SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED TO BE A MEMBER OF ANY ORGANIZATION TO BECOME OR REMAIN A LICENSED ATTORNEY IN THIS STATE. Read the full text of the bill here

Please support Rep. Allen's bill and let's get this passed, NOW!

Re: Release of Illegal Immigrants

Dear Secretary Janet Napolitano,

I'm writing to formally request information about the hundreds of criminal illegals who were released from custody and set free in Pinal County this week. I am requesting detailed information about the identity, criminal history, and threat assessment on every single criminal that your agency released under your recent budget pardon. I have already requested this information from your staff here in Arizona, however it has been denied. You can’t have it both ways! Your office now says these are low risk and non-violent criminals, yet Director John Morton, yourself, and President Obama have consistently argued that ICE lacks the funds to house all criminal illegals and you only focus your limited financial resources to identify, imprison, and deport the worst 34,000 of the estimated 11 million illegals here in the United States. This is the same group that we are talking about here and the same criminal illegals that even you and President Obama has said you wanted to deport. Protocol and logic should have required your staff to formally notify me, as the top law enforcement official in the county where this occurred, about this mass release of hundreds of foreign criminals into my county and elsewhere, yet regrettably this never happened. Even as the constitutionally elected Sheriff, I do not have any authority to release inmates or detainees in my jail without judicial action. The silence from ICE in failing to answer if any judge was involved with this release or the change of the terms of their detention is what we in law enforcement call a clue. Supervised release for any foreign criminal is laughable. What incentive do criminal illegals have to report in to the authorities or for them not to cut off their ankle bracelet? What is the worst punishment would they face - deportation? Recidivism rates are extremely high for any incarcerated individual, yet this population will be higher. Those who were released had no prior notice of being set free, which is important for each of them, as well as your staff to assist in preparing for transition into the community and to ensure some safety net. They lack the money, family support, and ability to get a job - not just because they have a criminal record, but because they're NOT U.S. citizens. This mass release is a recipe for disaster. Future victims of likely crimes will hold you and your administration responsible.

In an effort to mitigate the threat to the public’s safety, I again formally request the names, location provided for their supervised release, criminal charges for detention and their criminal history. Your immediate attention and response is requested.

Respectfully,

Paul Babeu, Sheriff

So much for the Pledge to America

When Republicans won the House of Representatives in 2010, largely thanks to the inspired efforts of grassroots conservatives and tea party activists, they made a so-called "Pledge to America" that this time would be different.

That this would not be the same majority that had lost power in 2006 after dramatically expanding Medicare, the Department of Education and running massive budget deficits. A majority that had seemingly lost its way from the principles that helped it win Congress in 1994 for the first time since 1952.

Well, perhaps everything the American people needed to know about the current Republican majority was embodied in a March 6 continuing resolution vote that funds the government through Sept. 30.

The bill was just introduced on March 4 — a Sunday — and just two days later, it was approved, despite a Pledge promise that "We will give all Representatives and citizens at least three days to read the bill before a vote."

Moreover, the legislation continues to fund Obamacare, breaking another pledge that Republicans would "repeal President Obama's government takeover of health care."

Republicans could have made defunding Obamacare a precondition for enacting the continuing resolution.

Just as House Majority Leader had promised to do in Feb. 2011: "I expect to see, one way or the other, the product coming out of the House to speak to that [ObamaCare funding] and to preclude any funding to be used for that."

To keep the promise, 30 House Republicans sent a letter to House leadership, calling for just that tactic to be used: "we urge you to affirmatively de-fund the implementation of Obamacare in any relevant appropriations bill brought to the House floor in the 113th Congress, including any continuing appropriations bill."

Alas, it was not to be.

Upon receiving the letter, leadership responded by speedily bringing the continuing resolution to the floor in the middle of a snow storm, a day sooner than expected. Why?

Let's just be blunt. It was to prevent the American people from having an opportunity to have their say on this legislation and to contact their representatives. There was no rush that could not wait until after the storm. The current continuing resolution does not expire until March 27.

#StandWithRand

Senator Rand Paul’s principled stand, filibustering on the Senate Floor for 13 straight hours, was inspiring, encouraging, and reassuring.

We stand, inspired by Sen. Paul’s passionate and courageous leadership, and by the support shown by many others in the Senate Chamber and around the country.

Thank you Sen. Rand Paul for standing up on the floor of the Senate to demand a debate about the Constitution’s relevance, the importance of the Fifth Amendment, the Senate’s constitutional mandate to advise and counsel the President, whether the different branches of government are truly intended to provide checks and balances, and whether there are limits to the Executive Branch’s power.  Each of these arguments is important and valuable to our country today and essential to ensuring a better future for all Americans. Sen. Paul has shown wisdom and political leadership to use the filibuster as a bully pulpit to elevate these principled arguments to the forefront of the media.  We need more leaders like Sen. Rand Paul.

Yesterday, we also saw that there were several others willing to stand with Rand Paul: Senators Barasso, Chambliss, Cornyn, Cruz, Flake, Johnson, Lee, McConnell, Moran, Rubio, Scott, Thune, and Toomey. Thank you all for your willingness to have Sen. Paul’s back and, more importantly, to stand up for the Constitution. It’s important to note that Sen. Mike Lee was the first person to assist Sen. Paul, and Sen. Ted Cruz stayed until the end, reading supportive Tweets to his colleague, among other contributions. Thank you Sens. Lee and Cruz!
Senator Ron Wyden, Democrat from Oregon, spoke in support of the questions Sen. Paul was asking of the White House, and referred to the two of them as the “Checks and Balances Caucus.” Sen. Wyden was willing to put aside political party loyalty to consider what is best for all Americans. Thank you for that, Sen. Wyden.

We are finally seeing Senators and Representatives who were elected as a result of the tea party movement beginning to establish their footing, use their voices effectively, and make a difference by pushing Congress to again function the way it should.  This would not be possible without the time, dedication, commitment, perseverance, and determination of the Patriots around the country who have stood for fiscally responsible, constitutionally limited government through Tea Party Patriots, Campaign for Liberty, 912 groups, and other like-minded organizations.

Now is the time, with our Constitution and our liberties under such an organized and sustained attack, to fight back harder than ever, and to never, ever give in. Sen. Paul’s physical effort alone was so inspiring that many of us across the country could barely sleep last night. This is the spirit of America we long to see in our elected officials.

When we began Tea Party Patriots four years ago, we knew it would take a long time to achieve our goals. We have a 40-year plan. We will continue to build upon the foundation we have laid. We are only just beginning!

Thank you and God Bless America!

Take the IMF's hand out of Uncle Sam's wallet

Awkward.

That is how the Washington Post characterized an Obama Administration request to make a permanent $65 billion pledge to the International Monetary Fund.

But the request is more than just awkward, it is a window into the priorities that Obama is setting for America.

At a time when Obama has gone around the country playing sequester chicken little, threatening to furlough employees, shutting down White House tours, and putting our national defense at risk over what amounts to $44 billion in budget cuts, he has submitted a request to send $65 billion to the International Monetary Fund so they can prop up failed socialist European states like Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

What makes the request all the more galling is that the IMF itself has been arguing that Americans should pay higher taxes in order to close our massive budget deficit.

Incredibly, the IMF knows no shame as they IMF already have their hand in Uncle Sam's wallet through a special $100 billion line of credit.  This means they can withdraw money from the U.S. Treasury, any time they want without anything other than the Secretary of Treasury's approval.

No vote of Congress is needed, no public debate, nothing.

Now, the IMF and Obama want a permanent $65 billion into their coffers.  As a reminder for those keeping score, $65 billion is about what the U.S. has authorized for emergency Hurricane Sandy relief, and it is dramatically more than the $40 billion that the recently imposed small business tax increases are expected to generate.

To make matters worse, the IMF actually advocates for increased taxes on U.S. taxpayers in its spare time.

The Sequester (less spending) is vindicated

When Obama was elected our march toward socialism and greater government spending speeded up; and the stock market went down. But when sequester went in and government spending went down; the stock market hit an all-time high. Can there be any doubt about which direction makes the most economic sense?

Which would you choose?

President Obama wants to raise the minimum wage from $7.25 to $9 over the next three years. That's a 24 percent increase.   A better solution is to pass the FairTax (HR25/S122). Today's minimum wage earns $15,080 a year.  Subtract $1,154 for FICA (Social Security and Medicare at 7.65 percent) and $533 of Federal tax due.  Ignoring state income tax, the take home pay is $13,393.

Pass the FairTax and the minimum wage earner brings home the full $15,080.  They get an additional $2,505 as a reimbursement for the tax paid on the basic necessities.  That's $17,585 take home - a 31 percent raise in one year!   Yes, the FairTax is a 23 percent national retail sales tax on new goods and services. According to the experts, the price of every US produced product we buy is ~ 22 percent more expensive because companies embed the cost of the tax they pay in the price of their products - thereby passing the cost of corporate tax on to the consumer.   Under the FairTax, the prices for products produced in the U.S. should drop an average of 15 percent-18 percent at the wholesale level because the embedded tax is removed.  Add back in the 23 percent national retail sales tax and retail prices only go up 5 – 8 percent.

So, increase the minimum wage 24 percent over the next three years and hurt small businesses or pass the FairTax and create millions of new jobs.

Which would you choose?
