Lydia H. Wheeler
Lydia H. Wheeler, 85 years young, entered Heaven on January 13, 2013. Lydia was born in Chicago on March 13, 1927 to Lithuanian parents. She has lived in Carefree for the last 13 years.
Lydia leaves behind her daughter Charlene (Josie) and husband Richard, three grandchildren Victor, Pilar and Tiffany, six great grandchildren Nicholas, Xander, Marina, Giana, Lilliana and Victoria.
Her love of life, family and animals brought her much happiness. Many of the staff from Turf Paradise knew her enthusiasm for horses and the excitement of her choice winning a race.
You could also find her playing Texas Hold ‘Em at Harold’s and being a winner many times.
Her feet could hardly keep still when a favorite song was being played; dancing was another of her favorite pass times.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on February 20 at The Heritage, 36590 N. Pima Rd., in Carefree.
