Additional gun control legislation will further tarnish our Constitutional freedoms

"Those who have sought the most in gun control have sought the least in the punishment of criminals." - Robert J. Kukla

As we read, listen, and/or watch the news concerning a criminal tragedy of shooting children and adults as recently occurred in Newtown, Connecticut, and/or the violent lawbreaker who fired a rifle directed at Firemen in Webster, New York, the Liberals' immediate remedy is to legislate more gun control.  The criminality with guns is not our problem; criminal individuals and others with deranged minds are.

Journal News' publication of the New York citizens 'lawful purchasers' of gun permits is just as serious of an invasion of each individual's privacy rights as if Journal News' privacy rights invasion(s) were in each and every individual's own bedroom(s).

The foremost problems of illegal gun activities are the criminal elements and their political leaders within (y)our own Liberal government agencies.

Evidence may prove that several associates in President Obama's administration, including the US Justice Department, and members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) acted in the Fast and Furious plot while selling and/or approving the sale of automatic rifles, shotguns, and pistols, to a Mexican drug cartel, weapons that were used in murdering 3 innocent Americans and hundreds of Mexicans. Our Justice Department and/or ATF had devised a scheme in an attempt to blame U.S. firearms manufacturers as scapegoats for this criminal violence.

Government gun control is nothing new.  History will prove that many Socialist and Communist leaders have become member leaders of the worldwide "Gun Control Hall of Fame" who include: National Socialist Leader and Reich Chancellor of Nazi Germany, Adolph Hitler; Communist Party Chairman and founder of the People's Republic of China, Mao Tse-Tung; Cambodian's Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot; and Soviet Union's Joseph Stalin who have become directly responsible for millions of innocent deaths with their own government's gun control.

When guns are confiscated by government(s), only criminals and government(s) have guns; then law-abiding voices become easier targets.

President Obama, Liberal Capitol Hill Democrats, Liberal main-stream Medias, and Liberal Academia are pounding their Liberal political agenda and silencing most Conservatives by limiting or even denying any open forum in the Liberal Medias.

It is Liberal Democrat lawmakers, Liberal main-stream Media and Liberal Academia who spotlight Congress and States' Legislatures which soften and/or decriminalize more criminal acts, then demands more gun control legislation as a solution to the lawless craziness within our society. It is our U.S. military who have used rifles and other weapons of war to defeat other nations, on foreign land and waters, and through the air without warfare within our own homeland in defeating enemy nations.

Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto: "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass."

The 2nd Amendment of our U.S. Constitution was crafted by our Founding Fathers to prevent a lawless and mutinous government from confiscating our weapons of protection.

"According to the FBI annual crime statistics, the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outnumbers the number of murders committed with a rifle."  Are Liberal Capitol Hill Democrats, Liberal main-stream Medias, and Liberal Academia proceeding to support banning hammers?

Under our 2nd Amendment freedoms, it should be unconstitutional for law-abiding citizen(s) to be required in any state to complete any government form(s) before purchasing any hunting rifle, shotgun, or pistol.  A National Instant Criminal Background Check System investigation should and would immediately qualify or deny each individual's right to purchase a hunting rifle, shotgun, or pistol.  The criminality of using a hunting rifle, shotgun, or pistol is most feared by law-abiding citizens whenever that weapon is used by a lawless and mutinous government, as well as by unlawful and psychologically ill individuals.

Even less than a perfect solution, a more comprehensive National Instant Criminal Background Check System can fix these glitches more quickly, accurately, effectively, and less expensively than any government(s) current laws and/or added legislation(s).

Our USA has become a nation with absent, and somewhat, lawless leadership of elected and appointed individuals who choose to obey or disobey our Constitution and US Code as they choose.  Furthermore, these lawless criminal officials are not being investigated, arrested, prosecuted, and if found guilty, sentenced to prison.

Any further gun control legislation will further tarnish (y)our Constitutional freedoms.

CCW Permits for the 51st State – Teachers

I knew this sounded familiar – I've heard this whole fear-factor argument about the danger of arming teachers against known classroom hazards 49 times before. It played every time a state enacted a discreet-carry CCW gun law for its citizens. It was met with the exact same prejudice, scorn and derision.

But those blind fears about people exercising their right to arms have been proven wrong time and again. They were the empty paranoid rantings and bigotry of the news media, elected officials and ignorant masses. Their wildly promoted fantasies of death and mayhem desperately needed correction. What we got, and are getting again, is repetition.

The sky never fell, remember? Brainless bubbas left no pools of blood. Instead, crime dropped as millions of decent citizens armed themselves against crime. Only Mr. Obama's crime-riddled Chicago holds out one state from the national tidal wave of peace.

So – do we really need to go through the old Dodge-City nonsense again now? Should you in the ethical media remain complicit? Are our schools' teachers, their staffs and principals so hopelessly incompetent and without judgment that even with training they can't match the performance of toothless gun-toting hicks in torn T-shirts, or even doctors, lawyers and professionals with CCW permission slips in their wallets?

America is not having a debate about guns America is having a debate about hoplophobia – morbid fear of guns. The preposterous disarm-the-innocent proposals from the left are a false flag. Guns are good. Guns protect us. Guns save lives. Guns stop crime. Guns are why America is still free. That aspect of this debate is missing in your narrative.

The errant behavior of a psychopath is not grounds to disarm or infringe upon innocent people who did nothing. That is an irrational, sick, hoplophobic response that cannot work, and cries out for compassion and counseling – for the person who suggests it. You don't want hoplophobes setting gun policy any more than you want aquaphobes as lifeguards.

Infringing upon the innocent to protect the innocent will not work. Denying a teacher the right to arms is a perverse policy choice fraught with ulterior motives and is constitutionally forbidden. Its very suggestion is a violation of the oath of office for elected officials and should be grounds for removal from office. Reporters should recognize this simple fact as swiftly as half the public does. The tearful emotional frenzy incessantly whipped up by the media does not change this.

Baby boomers universally remember rifle teams in high schools, varsity letters awarded for competition, bringing firearms to class to go hunting afterwards. The notion that guns and schools don't mix, and that gun ignorance should supplant gun education is a modern one whose origin is murky and suspicious.

The disarmed-teachers policy currently in place has caused grievous harm. Those responsible for this gross denial of a specific enumerated civil right should be identified and held accountable, and the disarmed-teachers policy should end without delay.

Denial of human rights never advances the cause of freedom or the human condition. It is almost as if we are fighting the civil-rights battles of the 1960s again. A bill to reverse the egregious discrimination against the people responsible for our children's safe education should be drafted and introduced immediately before further harm ensues.

Dear patriot,

There they go again.

Recently Congress passed a bill to avert the so-called fiscal cliff.  But instead of focusing on the real driver of our fiscal imbalance, runaway government spending, Congress passed a bill that’s all taxes and no serious spending reductions.  The bill was filled with terrible economic policy from top to bottom.  The one bright spot is that we’re finally starting to establish some permanency in the tax code, an important element of economic stability.

Take action today and remind Congress the American people still want them to cut spending!

Here’s a quick rundown of the bill:

• Taxes: the bill fails to protect the economy from all the tax hikes.  Everything from capital investment, to labor, to consumption, and even death will be more heavily taxed in 2013.  None of that will spur economic growth.

• Spending: remember when both President Obama and Speaker Boehner talked about a “balanced approach?”  This bill is a classic Washington tax-and-spend bill with no spending cuts to be found.

What’s worse, it actually includes billions in new spending.

Even while raising taxes on hardworking Americans, Congress recognized that high taxes hurt economic growth and so they handed out myriad special carve outs so their friends wouldn’t feel the bite. Wind energy, motorsports entertainment complexes and even the hard-up Hollywood tycoons got a special tax break in the bill.

In addition to the damage these policies will do to the economy, raising taxes in a deficit fight just puts a Band-Aid on the problem.  Runaway government spending is still the main problem with the federal budget and with the nation’s economy.

Thank you for all you do for economic freedom and we look forward to fighting side-by-side with you in 2013.

Little economic re-distribution systems

So why, when the prices of other products and services either remain flat or decline, do tuition rates steadily rise? At least part of the answer is found in one very important fact. It is a consistent agenda within institutions of higher learning to offer as many low cost and even “free” tuition programs as possible. Whether you’re examining state run colleges and universities or private institutions, look in to the details of their budgets and the agenda becomes clear. It is a point of pride when, year after year, college and university leaders can report that they issued more “scholarship” programs that were doled-out according to ‘financial need.”

This is to say that colleges and universities are often set up to function like their own little economic re-distribution systems. And while the goal of getting lower income Americans enrolled into college is noble, the cost of it is usually balanced on the backs of middle class students and parents who are trying to earn their way through life. If a student isn’t “poor enough” to qualify for needs-based assistance, then the student will face ever-rising tuition rates.

The less obvious component to the college education dilemma directly involves changes in the nature of our American economy. Although it doesn’t fit conveniently in to the various narratives of our national political dialog, the fact is our country may very well be – believe it or not – on the verge of a manufacturing renaissance (gasp!). And it may be happening without the permission and blessing of the AFL CIO (gasp again!).

Obamacare layoffs, hiring freezes begin

Obamacare opponents warned that forcing companies employing 50 or more full-time workers to buy healthcare would prompt employers to slash jobs and worker hours.  And that’s exactly what’s happening, says one of President Barack Obama’s favorite economists, Mark Zandi of Moody’s Analytics.

“It will have a negative impact on job creation” this year, says Mr. Zandi.

The Obamacare employer mandate doesn’t go into effect until January 1, 2014, but the government requires businesses to track worker schedules for three to 12 months in advance.  That means many employers plan to get a jump start on avoiding Obamacare’s $2,000 per-worker fine by firing workers now, reducing employee hours, or replacing full-time employees with part-time workers.

A survey by the International Franchise Association finds that 31 percent of franchisees say they plan to cut staff to duck under Obamacare’s 50-employer mandate.  And another study by Mercer consulting firm found that half of businesses who don’t presently offer health insurance plan to reduce employee hours to avert triggering Obamacare’s penalties.

As Breitbart News has reported, Pennsylvania Community College of Allegheny County has already slashed the hours of 400 adjunct instructors, support staff, and part-time teachers to sidestep the Obamacare fines.  Doing so will save the already cash-strapped college an estimated $6 million.

Other Obamacare provisions, like the medical devise excise tax, have forced Stryker medical supply to cut 1,170 positions, despite the fact that the founder of the company’s grandson was among Mr. Obama’s biggest campaign donors.  Other medical device makers like Boston Scientific, Dana Holding Corp., Welch Allyn, Medtronic, Kinetic Concepts, and Smith & Nephew have similarly forecast the needs to cut hundreds of jobs each as the result of Obamcare.

The day after Mr. Obama’s reelection, a Las Vegas employer fired 22 of his 114 employees citing Obamacare regulations as the culprit.

Christine Ippolito of Compass Workforce Solutions says companies just under the 50 employee threshold now plan to hold off on hiring to avoid triggering the $2,000-per worker penalty.
Ernie Canadeo, the president of EGC Group advertising agency, agrees.  Mr. Canadeo says he had planned to hire 10 workers this year, but may wait so as not to cross the 50-worker mark.
The looming Obamacare layoffs and hiring freezes come as a Labor Department report announced today that the unemployment rate remains at 7.8 percent (revised up from the originally reported 7.7 percent).  Presently, 22.6 million Americans are either unemployed, underemployed, or marginally attached to the work force.

Pushing vaccines down our throats

The trend to use psychological warfare to get us vaccinated for every possible malady is insane. Doctors are trying to convince seniors to take a vaccine called Zostavax for shingles even when they have already had shingles.  Only 1 to 5 percent of the people get shingles twice! Zostavax only has a 50 percent success rate! Pharmaceutical companies have NO legal liability anymore for their vaccines! Hello!  Remember when doctors were touting hormone replacement therapy for women and now regret it?  People are finely getting wise to LIPITOR and other cholesterol reducing drugs when they finally realize that the brain contains 25 percent of the body's Cholesterol for a reason!  According to the NY Times only 50 percent of the doctors would take Chemotherapy for cancer!  I guess doctors can just say later: "I was just following orders!" Getting people in lock step to get in line for any vaccine that is in vogue shows we are blindly becoming Sheeple.

Vietnam Veterans low priority

The new 113th Congress is now seated.  The 112th Congress failed to recognize Veterans of the Vietnam War.  House Bill HR-3612 and Senate Bill S.1629, to restore The Agent Orange Equity Act did not make it out of committee.  In all probability, these Bills are dead and must be re-introduced.

There are 439 members of Congress States and Territories, 100 members of Senate.  The 112th assembly of both Houses only 126 Representatives co-sponsored the House Bill and 14 Senators co-sponsored the Senate Bill.

What does this say about those Legislators who ignored the Bills?

Veterans of the Vietnam War are low priority.  We have become a liability for budget dollars.  Our quality of life means little to our Congress and Senate.  What is a veteran’s life worth who honorably served Country and Flag?  Freedom Is Not Free.

Every day another veteran falls ill to a disease attributed to the deadly herbicide agent orange.  Every week approximately 400 to 500 sick Vietnam veterans die.  The legacy we leave behind is our government does not care.

We advocates for Vietnam veterans must start over to convince our legislators to do what is right.  We are groups who volunteer our time to help sick veterans gather evidence required by the Veterans Affairs for submission of claims.  We do the leg work; we meet with members of Congress and Senate in support of veterans.  Our only reward is knowing we helped a veteran.  What we do is not enough unless we have support from the Congress and Senate.  We ask all Americans to urge our legislators to pass laws that will provide equitable VA health care and compensation for sick Vietnam veterans so they may realize better quality of life.

Cow's milk – Unfit for human consumption

A frequent bugaboo of the "fiscal cliff" debacle was the "milk cliff" – the threat of milk prices doubling, if Congress failed to extend dairy subsidies. Parents were foregoing other necessities, because their children "had to have milk."

Most industries would gladly give up their tax loopholes for that kind of product loyalty. But this one is totally undeserved.

Consumption of dairy products, laden with saturated fats, cholesterol, hormones and drugs elevates the risk of diabetes, heart disease and cancer. This is particularly critical during childhood years, when dietary flaws become lifelong addictions.

A study of 12,829 children by Harvard Medical School found that drinking cow’s milk leads to weight gain.

Several proteins in cow’s milk can thicken mucus secretions leading to respiratory problems in children.

Most African-Americans and Asian-Americans suffer from cramping and diarrhea because they lack the enzyme to digest lactose in cow’s milk.

The good news is that green leafy vegetables and legumes supply all the calcium and proteins touted in cow’s milk, without the excess calories and other yucky factors noted. Every supermarket offers a huge line of dairy-free milks, cheeses, and ice creams made from healthy nuts and grains.

This is why USDA’s current Dietary Guidelines for Americans, shunt dairy (and meat) off the recommended plate of vegetables, fruits, and grains.

Cow’s milk is produced for bovine not human babies. Let’s give our kids a healthy start!
