Deputy William Coleman Scholarship awarded by Rotary Club of Anthem, AZ

PHOENIX - The Rotary Club of Anthem announced the first recipient of the Deputy William Coleman Memorial Scholarship, Daisy Mountain Firefighter/Paramedic Jessica Gudinas.  
"The Board of Directors authorized the development and funding of this scholarship to honor Maricopa County Deputy William Coleman who died in January, 2012 in the line of duty, protecting the community of Anthem," explained Rick Nollenberger, the scholarship committee chair. 

The scholarship assists individuals pursuing careers in law enforcement, fire fighting, or paramedic training programs at an accredited educational institution. Gudinas will receive the $1,000 scholarship as she works towards a degree in Paramedicine at Northern Arizona University.  

About the Deputy William Coleman Memorial Scholarship
Each year, the Rotary Club of Anthem provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors living in Anthem. Details about those scholarships for the 2013-14 academic year will be announced the first week in January. Applications for the Deputy William Coleman Memorial Scholarship will be available in summer of 2013.
