Christmas tree permits still available

Bookmark and Share

treeSPRINGERVILLE – Christmas tree permits are still available for people who want to cut their own tree from a national forest in Arizona. The cost for a permit is $15, and they are available at Big Five Sporting Goods stores across the state as well as from some Forest Service offices. Although more than 3,700 permits have been sold there are still permits available at Big Five locations.

General information about the Christmas tree cutting program is available through the Christmas tree hotline (928) 333-6267 and the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests website under “Passes and Permits” and then “Forest Products Permits”: www.fs.usda.gov/asnf. Maps of the individual cutting areas are on the website.
