Cibo e. Vino Italian Restaurant open for dining delight

SCOTTSDALE – Cibo e. Vino – it's a simple concept, food and wine. But what you get at this family-run Italian restaurant is anything but! At Cibo e. Vino you'll find authentic entrees, outstanding value, an upscale ambiance and friendly service.

cibo e vinoAs for value, one of the most ordered lunch items is a 10" slice of cheese, a breadstick and drink for $5! "It's a meal," explained owner and chef, John Collura.

This is not Collura's first venture with restaurants. He's owned two in Tempe and opened seven Ruby Tuesdays. He's a graduate of the Scottsdale Culinary Institute (with a 4.0 GPA), but his success is likely founded in his genes. His recipes come from many generations-past grandmothers. "These recipes have been made for decades," he said. "We make all our own sauces here and dough. Our salads will change with the season." Currently, strawberries are in season and make an exquisite strawberry salad.

Because his background is so rich with experience, Collura knows what diners want. As such, everything on the menu is well-received. Some of the exceptionally popular dishes are: braised short ribs, four cheese risotto, garlic spinach, port wine demi and side salad; braised lamb shank, port wine demi, garlic mashed potatoes, summer veggies and salad; and homemade lobster ravioli, prosciutto, white wine rosa cream sauce. "If you're not in the mood for pizza or pasta, we have many alternatives," Collura assured.

There's a features menu that changes every few days, and it's worth stopping in often for! See ciboevinoaz.com for the daily menu.

Cibo e. Vino is located in the Terravita Shopping Center at 34522 N. Scottsdale Rd., Ste. D1. Phone 480-595-6600 for details.
