LaidOffCamp returning to Chandler April 30

Networking, community and resources for the unemployed

CHANDLER – LaidOffCamp Phoenix is returning to Chandler on April 30. This popular event, an extension of a nationwide grassroots movement, was started to help people find work – full-time work, freelance work, volunteer work, or whatever’s next for them.

The Chandler LaidOffCamp, like other LaidOffCamp events, is a locally-based, community-supported effort to offer resources and reassurance to job seekers. It is planned and staffed completely by volunteers.

This year’s LaidOff Camp will be held from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Chandler Community Center located at 125 E. Commonwealth Avenue, Chandler, Arizona.

Participants will be able to choose from a variety of sessions, including;
• 10 Giveaways That You Are A Technology Dinosaur (and How To Fix Them)
• Building Buzz for Your Business
• Effective Techniques for Working with Recruiters
• How to Network Your Way to a New Job
• Financial Planning During Transition
• How to Tap Into the Power of Social Media to Find Work
• Opportunities in the New World of Work
• Life After Bankruptcy
• The Hidden Power of Twitter to Land Your New Career
• What Workforce Connections Can Do for You
