CYT Phoenix presents a musical version of this classic tale beginning Friday, Feb 18

PHOENIX, Ariz. – CYT Phoenix presents Charlotte's Web based on the classic children's book by E. B. White.  This musical version with music by Charles Strouse (who also wrote music for Annie, and Bye Bye Byrdie) presents a bright and lively version of the story called "the best children's book of the last 200 years". Performances run 2 weekends beginning Feb 18 at the Phoenix Center for the Arts Third Street Theater.

Meet Wilbur, a humble pig who captures the heart and friendship of all who know him, and Charlotte, the ordinary spider with extraordinary ideas.   The magic of animals who talk and read, combined with homespun simplicity of life on the farm, create the charm of this musical.  Come and join the barnyard gang in this show filled with colorful characters and a powerful redemptive theme. The classic tale by E.B. White is considered to be the most popular, widely read children's book of the 20th century.

CYT’s full-length Broadway-style musical shows are always appropriate for the entire family and are an excellent way to introduce children to the arts at a young age. Tickets range from $10 (children 12 and under) to $16 (at the door).
