CSHS Swim/Dive qualifiers to Kino Jr. High Pool (Mesa) for 4A-I State Championships

CSHS – If the “Falcon Pride Marching Band” travels to McClintock High School for tonight’s game between the Falcons and the hosting Chargers, fans will see Songee Barker performing her twirling routine with a baton flaming at both ends. How do you do that, Songee?!

On Saturday morning, Songee, a diver, will exchange her twirler’s costume for a bathing suit, as she and fellow seniors Belen Enguidanos and Garrett Swanson lead the Cactus Shadows Swim & Dive qualifiers into the 4A Conference - Division I State Championships at Kino Pool, Kino Junior High School, Mesa.

Individual qualifers for Coach Eric Niebch’s “FalFins” are: (Girls) Barker (dive); Sydney Bemer (100yd. & 200yd. freestyle); Enguidanos (100yd. butterfly, 500yd. freestyle); Demi Wood (100yd. butterfly, 500yd. freestyle). (Boys) Swanson (50yd. freestyle; 100yd. backstroke).

Relay team qualifiers: (Girls) 200yd. medley (Wood, Samantha Franke, Enguidanos, Bemer); 200yd. freestyle (Bemer, Wood, Nichole Berberich, Enguidanos).  (Boys) 200yd. medley (Swanson, Daniel Barnett, Adam Bowers, Luke Endicot); 200yd. freestyle (Swanson, Bowers, Endicot, Barnett); 400yd. freestyle (Bowers, Amr Nasef, Endicot, Barnett).
