Under Democrat Party rule, why do we vote anymore?

A few days ago I received an E-mail from a local friend, "Tracey", concerned as to how President Obama and his administration are ignoring our Constitution and US Code. The friend's declaration was, "I don't know why we vote anymore!"

My friend is concerned as the Arizona legislature enacted Senate Bill 1070 (SB1070) and Governor Brewer signed the legislation into law; only for Attorney General Eric Holder to file a lawsuit to overturn Arizona's SB1070. Earlier, President Obama and AG Holder both admitted they had not read Arizona's SB1070. The new law is to control and/or prohibit illegal immigration and the criminal elements within.

Arizona law, SB1070 is compliant to the US Constitution, Amendment X: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

ICE Director John Morton says he will not enforce US Immigration Code. ICE now confirms that they are dismissing current prosecutions, and will cease deportation of illegal immigrants. That decision is an "impeachable" act.

Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code:

"Improper Entry by Alien," any citizen of any country other than the United States who:
Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or

Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact; has committed a federal crime.

Violations are punishable by criminal fines and imprisonment for up to six months. Repeat offenses can bring up to two years in prison. Additional civil fines may be imposed at the discretion of immigration judges, but civil fines do not negate the criminal sanctions or nature of the offense.

To my friend Tracey, "It appears we do have a President and administration that chooses to disobey and/or ignore the law. Sadly, the majority Democrats on Capitol Hill should/could address and correct this unlawful activity, but they elect not to. Voting does count! Voting does matter! President Obama and the majority of Democrats on Capitol Hill must obey the laws of our nation."

One line within the United States Junior Chamber (Jaycee) Creed is "That government should be of laws rather than of men." All must obey the law.

NRA asks Phoenix to reverse censorship of Stingray Sushi ad

The Arizona State Rifle & Pistol Association, a 100-year old organization that also serves as the State Arm for the National Rifle Association, weighs in on this issue asking Mayor Gordon and the Phoenix City Council to reverse a decision by a Phoenix Transit Department official to ban a proposed advertisement from Stingray Sushi. "Has there ever been a more absurd action by a government department head than this one?" asked Noble C. Hathaway, President of the Association. "This is most offensive to the First and Second Amendment. We would respectfully ask that Mayor Gordon and the City Council look into this as soon as possible and reverse the decision. Arizona is the most gun friendly state in America with over 5 percent of the population licensed to carry concealed weapons as well as millions of gun owners residing here.

Stingray Sushi, a locally-owned restaurant, with establishments in downtown Scottsdale and Phoenix's Biltmore Fashion Park, had proposed an advertisement for bus stops in Phoenix featuring an animated Asian woman holding two guns.

At first, a Phoenix Transit bureaucrat simply denied the advertisement saying it was too provocative and violent. Under scrutiny from Valley media the official softened her stance late Friday saying if the character lowered her shorts and put the guns in holsters the advertisement may be allowed. Mr. Hathaway also commented "The fact that she changed her stance appears to me an admission of realizing just how silly this ruling was in the first place. With the difficulty small business is encountering in our state, I would think the city would bend over backwards to help Stingray Sushi rather than suppress a very creative advertising campaign."

The Arizona State Rifle & Pistol Association, Arizona Civil Defense League, and TrainMeArizona alone represent over 10,000 members and gun owners across the state.

The Empire Strikes Back: The attack on Americans for Prosperity and the Koch brothers

The Obama administration, and its media acolytes, are mounting a major campaign to discredit the president’s most effective foes. To get the ball rolling, the president himself denounced Americans for Prosperity by name in a speech, and the mainstream press has fallen into line with a series of attacks on AFP and of its founders.

One of the key “Rules for Radicals” set forth by President Obama’s guru, Saul Alinsky, is to marginalize your opponents, making them appear extreme, self-serving, mean-spirited, greedy, devious, out of touch, nasty and even downright evil. Coordinated smear attacks are a favorite weapon, and flat-out lying is used as a matter of course. The links below are prime examples of the spirit of Alinsky at work. We can expect to see a lot more of this journalistic political propaganda in the months ahead.

At this time, the prime villains in the eyes of our liberal-left opinion leaders are the brothers Charles and David Koch who have outraged America’s “beautiful people” by supporting libertarian causes over the years, and, more recently, by helping to start AFP. I don’t know David Koch, but I’ve served on the board of the Institute for Humane Studies with Charles Koch for over twenty years. He truly is a committed libertarian, as well as a true gentleman. His politics arise from his principles, not the other way around. The articles linked below are hit pieces, pure and simple.

Please look over the nasty nonsense in the links below to see what America’s Alinsky-inspired left is up to these days. Then, I urge you to pay attention to what AFP is doing, and support it, and support the issues it promotes. Google Americans for Prosperity, and sign up.

Here in Arizona, you can reach Tom Jenney, our state director of AFP, through [email protected] or 602-478-0146. He’s a great guy, he’s doing a fantastic job, and he’ll appreciate your support.

Nine Weeks to go . . .

Friends,

Nine weeks. That is how much time we have between now and the general election.
Nine weeks. That is how much time we have to work with and for those candidates that stand for sound fiscal policy through free market principles and limited government.
Nine weeks. That is how much time we have to work towards winning every election possible to stem the progressive agenda.

There are plenty of fiscally conservative candidates that need our help and which candidate you assist through volunteering or donating is up to you. But, be wary of conservative talking, liberal voting incumbents this campaign season.

As a general statement – we must accept and can safely assume nearly every Democrat, regardless of their personal convictions, are neither independent nor strong enough to reject the pressures of an Obama administration. From Stimulus to Obamacare, the only Democrats to vote against Democratic legislation were those who coordinated their "no" vote through Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid for political convenience. Those Democrats that could not be strong armed, where bought – i.e. Corn Husker Kick Back, Louisiana Purchase, etc. After two years of "Hope and Change" it is not the will of the people Democrats represent but the will of a Chicago politician that backed his way into the White House. We The People are but an obstacle to their progressive agenda . . . and we say now is the time to be an obstacle they cannot overcome.

In Arizona, we are in an excellent position to make a difference by replacing those Democrats who ignored the better judgment of their constituent for that of an irresponsible administration.

To view the Arizona Congressional District Map, click here.

To find your Congressional District, click here.

Ann Kirkpatrick of District 1 (N/NE AZ), Ed Pastor of District 4 (S/SW/SC Phoenix), Harry Mitchell of District 5 (Scottsdale, Tempe, Fountain Hills), Raul Grijalva of District 7 (SW AZ) and Gabrielle Giffords of district 8 (SE AZ) – these 5 Congressional Representatives voted for Obamacare and the Stimulus package. If past actions are the best predictor of future actions you can trust these five Congressional representatives to continue to vote with Obama, Pelosi and Reid. It is their past votes that count not current campaign rhetoric. Do not believe them when they say they have found fiscal discipline, do not believe them as they pay lip service to free market principles, and do not believe them if they say a limited government is best. When you read of unemployment at record highs know it is because of legislation they passed. When you read of soaring health care premiums and doctor shortages, know it is because they pushed through Obamacare – against the will of the people. When you see countries holding enormous amounts of US debt trying to influence US policies, know the votes/actions of these five representatives are responsible.
If we want to stop Obamacare (and repeal it), if we want to stop the union pay backs through stimulus package after stimulus package, if we want to prevent Cap and Trade then we must stop. . .

Stop Ann Kirkpatrick by supporting Paul Gosar.
Stop Ed Pastor by supporting Janet Contreras.
Stop Harry Mitchell by supporting David Schweikert.
Stop Raul Grijalva by supporting Ruth McClung.
(Raul Grijalava advocated other states boycott AZ over SB 1070 – he must go!)
Stop Gabriella Giffords by supporting Jesse Kelly.

Every vote for Paul Gosar, Janet Contreras, David Schweikert, Ruth McClung, and Jesse Kelly is a vote against more debt, against an expanding government, and a vote closer to repealing Obamacare. These candidates need your support through volunteering and/or donations. They are not simply running against a Democratic candidate they are running against the Chicago political machine. Let's show Obama that Chicago style politics may work in Illinois but not here in Arizona. Please visit these Republican candidates’ campaign web sites to see where and how you can assist. Please, donate what you can.

We may not vote out every Progressive Democrat but we can certainly minimize their impact by surrounding them with as many good, strong fiscal conservatives as possible. But, we must win the elections where we can and these five elections are a great starting point. Only nine weeks left to show Washington – We The People have had it with their progressive agenda.

Please go the extra mile by taking one more step. Forward this to your friends and family, encouraging them to join We The People AZ and to join you in helping those candidates ready take our country back.

Why the Federal Government refuses to uphold Art. IV Sec 4 of the Constitution

Dear Governor Brewer:

Secretary of State Clinton’s threat to turn the immigration issue over to the United Nations comes as no surprise. The Federal government’s failure to secure our border or honor Art. IV Sec 4 of our Constitution isn’t an oversight. WE NO LONGER HAVE A DEFINED BORDER; only a 124 mile wide 'Zone of Cooperation' extending 62 miles either side of where the border used to be thanks to NAFTA and its sovereignty destroying “Borders21/LaPaz sidebar.”

Additionally, Art. 3 of United Nations Resolution 2312 says: “No person shall be subject to measures such as rejection at the frontier [border] ……” In the March 2005 "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America" agreement signed by President Bush, it was agreed a Council on Foreign Relation’s report titled "Building a North American Community" would be pursued. It says “Our economic focus should be on the creation of a common economic space that expands economic opportunities for all people in the region, a space in which trade, capital, and people flow freely.”

On 1-10-99, President Clinton issued EO 13107 which reads in part: "Sec. 4. Interagency Working Group on Human Rights Treaties.

(a) There is hereby established an Interagency Working Group on Human Rights Treaties …..
(c) The principal functions of the Interagency Working Group shall include:
….“developing....mechanisms for....monitoring of all actions by the various States…. laws for their conformity with relevant treaties...."

Hopefully, the policies set forth above will help you understand why SB 1070 is being attacked by the Federal government. On 11-22-94, thirty Republican governors agreed “Federal action has exceeded the clear bounds of its jurisdiction under the Constitution and thus violated rights guaranteed the people.” I see the two most damaging “Federal actions” to be:

1. the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 which guarantees that the owners of the privately owned, deceitfully named bank called the Federal Reserve System will eventually hold title to all real wealth of their choice, a mortgage on the remainder and a claim on all future production.

2. America’s commitment to become subservient to the United Nations.
Each of these acts destroyed any hope of our ability (individual, state or nation) to control our own destiny; this in spite of the Declaration of Independence saying “…these United Colonies are, and of right ought to be Free and Independent States…”

I suggest Americans have few options through which to try to peacefully regain and retain their ability to control their destiny and thereby their liberty; all being contingent on state action. Two of these options are for our states to act to hold the criminals responsible for our condition accountable through legal action or secede. A paper regarding a legal remedy is at http://thecnc.org/Documents/Remedies.htm.

I find it hard to imagine that you – or any responsible person – would intentionally commit their constituents, friends, neighbors, and posterity to a life of slavery under a New World Order which by definition will be a global prison having an Imperial Oligarchy as its warden. I pray you will act on behalf of all Americans to avoid this tragedy.

Sincerely,

Walter L. Myers | Bullhead City

Cave Creek School District again

I'm in a little bit of a mess, with the switching of the insurance companies! I had a kidney transplant 8 years ago and the meds I've been taking are now only covered 50 percent on this new insurance – a co-pay of $100 with Blue Cross Blue shield has now gone up to $989 co-pay. That is my entire check for the month! I spoke to ... and she said the fine print wasn't looked at closely enough and they have had many employees upset with the new plan. I'm not sure what can be done on your end but at least you can be aware of this mistake the district has made. My options are limited right now.

Obama administration sinks to a new low

Arizona’s SB 1070 part of State Dept. Report on Human Rights

The State Department is outrageously standing by its decision to include Arizona’s new illegal immigration law in a report to the United Nations on human rights abuses.

SB 1070, which is supported by two thirds to three fourths of Americans, went into effect one month ago. The new law is included in a 29 page report to the UN Human Rights Council, and highlights steps the Federal Government says it is taking to uphold human rights in the United States.

95. A recent Arizona law, SB 1070, has generated significant attention and debate at home and around the world. The issue is being addressed in a court action that argues that the federal government has the authority to set and enforce immigration law. That action is ongoing; parts of the law are currently enjoined.

“I didn’t think it could get any worse than the Obama administration suing a sovereign state for defending its citizens, for simply enforcing federal immigration law, but it has,” says SB 1070 author Sen. Russell Pearce.

Particular to the United States, the U.S. Constitution was voluntarily formed as a compact by existing sovereign states with existing state constitutions. Despite the deceptive proposition that the States were created by Congress, the States existed prior to and independent of any Congress, as confirmed by the Treaty of Paris in 1783 (which, by the way, was not overturned by any subsequent legal action of the states).

The states authority is not delegated, it is inherent authority and has inherent responsibility to its citizens.  "The State governments, by their original constitutions, are invested with complete sovereignty." Alexander Hamilton, FP 31. And, "Each State, in ratifying the constitution, is considered as a sovereign body, independent of all others, and only to be bound by its own voluntary act." James Madison, FP 39.

“President Obama has decided to have the United Nations review the law of Arizona. You have got to be kidding! We’re now going to have countries like Cuba, Libya and Uganda sitting in judgment on Arizona’s laws? Enough is enough!” says Pearce.

A lawsuit filed by the U.S. Attorney General did not make any claims about human rights abuses in the new law, and in fact the law specifically bans racial profiling in its enforcement.

“I guess we shouldn’t be surprised by this affront to the American people,” says Sen. Pearce. “The Obama administration has taken a position of non-enforcement when it comes to illegal aliens and ignores the killings, maimings, billions in cost to educate, medicate and incarcerate illegal aliens, jobs taken from Americans and wages suppressed.”

Arizona has an illegal immigration crisis. The President’s response is to side with the open borders, pro-Amnesty crowd, and fight the citizens of the United States before the U.N.
“This is a Republic and constitutional Republic and is not under the U.N. or any other foreign power. This is our country, not Obama’s. Congress should sever all ties with the U.N. and recognize its sovereign power and its oath to this constitutional Republic and its citizens, and stop all funds to the U.N. immediately. This is a SOVEREIGN NATION, we do not need the United Nations or anything they have to offer.  Enough is enough! This country belongs to WE THE PEOPLE, PERIOD.”

Pelosi Puppets in trouble early

Giffords, Mitchell and Kirkpatrick struggle to win over voters

'Nancy? We have a problem,' must have began the conversation between Nancy Pelosi and the campaigns of Kirkpatrick, Giffords and Mitchell after seeing poll data showing "Pelosi's Puppets" either losing or in a statistical dead heat.

The polls, conducted by Ayres, McHenry and Associates, shows Paul Gosar leading Kirkpatrick by a 47 to 41 percent margin, David Schweikert beating Harry Mitchell 50 to 44 percent and Jesse Kelly tied with Gabby Giffords at 46 percent. Key findings within the polls also show weaknesses for the three incumbents with their support of Obamacare, government bailouts and opposition to Arizona's immigration law.

"This poll clearly demonstrates the fundamental disconnect between Kirkpatrick, Mitchell and Giffords and their respective districts," said Arizona Republican Party Chairman Randy Pullen.

"Their views and lockstep support of Nancy Pelosi's agenda have been at odds with that of their constituents from day one. What's truly amazing is that these candidates message is resonating with voters after only a week. To be leading or tied so early in the race speaks volumes about Arizonans dissatisfaction with her representation in Washington."

"Over the next 61 days, these folks will be forced to explain why they supported Obama's version of healthcare reform which makes cuts to Medicaid and puts a government bureaucrat directly in the middle of personal healthcare decisions," continued Pullen. "It should be interesting to see if they will refuse the support of unions like SEIU who have contributed thousands to their campaigns and are encouraging the economic boycott of Arizona. Voters are waking up to the fact that these democrats are wrong for Arizona, and wrong for the country, and this poll proves it."

Protect wildlife and help prevent the next oil catastrophe

Do we really need any more signs from the universe that we should develop alternative energy sources? With the latest Gulf disaster happening right now, I think we all need to pull together to ensure that our legislators in Washington know we want to push ahead to develop other technologies that will support our lifestyles but not damage the environment in the way oil development has.
