Foothills Animal Rescue Shelter opens to wags and purrs!

far logoSCOTTSDALE – Yesterday, June 29, was the opening day of Foothills Animal Rescue (FAR) Shelter located at 23030 N. Pima Road, Scottsdale. The shelter is located directly behind the FAR Resale Boutique. 

The FAR shelter is a cage free environment. There are four cage free cat living rooms and four dog suites. 

The first event at the shelter is 'Christmas in July'. For the month of July cats six months and older can be adopted for a fee of just $50. Cats six months and younger will be available for adoption for a fee of $75. If someone adopts one cat that is six months and younger, they can adopt a second cat for just $25. All felines are altered, tested for FeLV/FIV/HW, microchipped, dewormed and 30 days of free pet health insurance is offered through ShelterCare.

Foothills Animal Rescue is committed to compassionate and humane treatment of dogs and cats in need, through rescue, shelter, fostering and adoption within Maricopa County.

Hours are as follows:
Monday – Closed
Tuesday: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday: Noon – 4 p.m.
