Michael was honored because of his community service efforts over the past five years, in which he has raised $250,000 for The Animal Assisted Therapy Program at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. At the age of 12, he founded a charity golf tournament called, The Swing Fore Kids Golf Classic, to fund the pet therapy program at PCH. His tournament has become its major fund raising source, since it is not funded by the hospital. Because of Michael’s efforts, the program has been able to grow significantly over the past 5 years. The 5th anniversary golf event will take place on April 30, at Grayhawk Golf Club.
