Desert Foothills Theater looking for frightening folk to scare the masses at Cody’s Death House

September 30, 2009

CAVE CREEK – Come join Desert Foothills Theater and the folks at Ashley Manor in creating one of the best haunted houses in the valley as part of the town-wide Cave Creek Wicked celebration.

Visiting set designers and makeup artists are working to create one of the scariest haunted houses in the area and we need people to help bring their creations to life. We are looking for a few good actors (ages 14+) with a variety of experience levels, to populate Cody’s Death House taking place in the former Long Branch Restaurant. We would love for you to share your performing talents for us!

The haunted house will run Oct. 15 through 31, Thurs., Fri. and Sat. nights from 6 p.m. until Midnight. You need not be available to “haunt” every night, but we are looking for folk who can, ideally, work one weekend at a time. The more time you spend in your “character” the more frightening you become and the better the fright for our patrons.

Informational meetings will be held Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. at the new FCF-Holland Community Center (60th Street south of the Carefree Highway). Interested performers should first visit www.desertfoothillstheater.com/halloweendetails.htm and follow the link to “register” online.
Participating performers will be provided dinner and additional “snacks” during their performance times and FREE passes to the haunted house for non-working days.

Students in need of volunteer hours may also receive credit for time worked in Cody’s Death House. A percentage of the proceeds from the event go to Desert Foothills Theater to underwrite our youth program and main stage productions.
