Justin Wade Lunsford, indicted for the July 8 murder of Mary Elizabeth Hermann, was released from custody July 30 on $600,000 bond. On Aug. 4, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sally Duncan granted Lunsford a 30-day extension to challenge the grand jury proceedings on the grounds his counsel had been unable to obtain a copy of the grand jury transcript. On Friday the state requested a change of judge and the case has been reassigned to Judge Michael Jones for all further proceedings.
